Yup, we have a 2021 G63 and we absolutely love it! We just found 22” snow tires for it. Bring on the snow!
Love ours too. Not extremely comfortable and limited luggage space for my family of 4 but awesome nonetheless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not being critical, but just want to know the state of play in the market . . . is this right that a 3 year old car with 21K miles is getting $50K above sticker? I am about to look for a 2 year old S Class, and wondered if this is what I can expect.
Yep. G-wagen specific. They have recently become 'must haves' and pricing has escalated to the stratosphere... Prices up 50% in a year.......on used cars! S Class "a dime a dozen' so to speak.
Yes... In some places. In others the dealer is selling them at sticker. But yes the s class is selling for a little over sticker... But mark my words... You will not find an s class with 20k on it for over sticker or at sticker. It will be less than sticker. The overage if this extreme is solely related to the g wagon and the fact that they are not building them this year. The supply of new g wagons has been turned off.
Are all V8s minus the S class still shut down indefinitely for US market? I read a few months ago they were for 2022MY, but no word yet about 2023MY. G-wagen prices have always amazed me and in particular the V8 AMG. They go for more than the V12TT in the G65, which doesn't make much sense to me...
I don't want to detail this person's for sale ad but I think what I am posting is helping justify the overage for his truck. So I hope this discussion isn't minded. If the poster doesn't like it feel free to flag it and the mods can remove it. V8s to my last check were not cancelled indefinitely. They were canceled with no known eta. I've hear shortage of the parts of the engine (which I do not believe) I have also heard someone at Mercedes didn't submit the EPA compliant paperwork on time and they missed the model year. Perhaps they missed it because of a mistake. But my guess is the engine doesn't comply to a regulation or certification so they didn't make the cut off. Regardless they will adapt the motor or create the parts and the cars will come back in one shape or form. As far as the g65 I agree. Actually a friend just bought one because he feels the same way. The only issue is people who pay over are people who want the latest and greatest. They will not consider the older model. And to be honest... I like the older body more... But the new generation is leaps and bounds better than the old truck as an everyday vehicle. There is no question. If you get in a new one and then get in an old one you are reminded how archaic the old truck really is (which is why I like it. Lol) These g wagons are in huge demand before they cut production and since the tap was turned off the pressure has just built and built and built.
I have a '21 G63. Greatest car! Fun and fast. The prices have escalated tremendously over the last year. This price is very market appropriate. I got offered $250K for mine. Not For Sale. GLWS.
Its because mercedes isn't going to produce as many g for 22, i have heard maybe none until April or May. I had one at msrp 6 months ago and kick myself for not buying it.
There isn’t much difference between a g550 and a g63. Tune the 550 and you have the same level of performance as a 63, Mercedes detunes on purpose the 550 not to compete with the 63. We bought our G a 19 model at msrp in September 2020 in the Bay Area, brand new. Best decision ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ordered G63 in June, just arrived, paid MSRP $174k and shipped it immediately to Armormax for a light armor (up to a 44 Magnum). New daily driver for my wife who needs to drive to and through Chicago (interior designer). Armor instead of Brabus is a sign of times we live in, her best friend, a very attractive mid 30s Blonde was carjacked in her new Defender early this Summer. 3 gang bangers tried to kidnap her to, with the car, she managed to jump from a moving car in Downtown early afternoon. This is how bad it is becoming in this city. Bruises and scrapes but the alternative would be incomprehensible.....

Not to sound like a jerk... But the first thing you want to do if you don't want to attract attention is don't attract attention. There is a reason why the Toyota Corolla is one of the most popular cars to uparmor.
Well if you're going to be conspicuous, you might as well go all the way: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
