Imagine putting this guy on a leash (around his snout) and parading him around the stadium. Uga would be petrified! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Tide got Rolled! And they thought that Ed Orgeron was a bad choice for LSU (just like they though that Dabo Swinney was a bad choice for Clemson)!
I heard that Ohio State is a 53 point favorite over Rutgers. That's the biggest point spread I can ever recall, but considering what the Buckeyes did to Maryland, they just might cover!
On the CFP selection show this evening, they presented something of a possible nightmare scenario for the committee if this should happen in the SEC (and it could): Alabama runs the table from here and finishes 11-1 LSU finishes the regular season at 12-0 but then loses to Georgia in the SEC championship game to finish 12-1 Georgia loses to Auburn, still wins the East and then beats LSU in the championship game to finish 11-2 So we would have an SEC champion with 2 losses. Does the committee pick them, or one or both of the one-loss teams that couldn't win the conference?
Bryant University so far in 2019. FCS though...for FBS it's Nebraska as the highest. https://www.thefulmercup.com/standings/ 2018 Rutgers was #1 https://www.thefulmercup.com/standings/2018-standings/
Very hard to believe The U is not in the top-10. And, how about a guy that did something prior to starting at the school, but arrested and charged AFTER he enters the school?
Half Ass U, also known as Free Shoes U and the home of the Criminoles? I see they were on last year's list.
PS - I am in Nebraska, the mentality of the players shows both on and off the field. Not ALL players, but enough to make a difference - the wrong difference. 'Unsportsmanlike conduct' penalties in the last two minutes of two games earlier this season cost them two wins, and for that, they are not going 'bowling'. Me? I don't care one way or the other...
I have never seen the replay of a player go down as much as I have of Tua. They couldn't take the camera off the mofo the entire time including while his nose is draining blood.
Dang, Tua has a bad injury. Right posterior hip dislocation with posterior acetabular wall fracture. That's the stuff you really only see in car accidents with dashboard injuries (dashboard crushed into knees). Really sucks for that guy...he's been beat up so bad during his career. The college student photographer in the UGA-AU game also got a scary freak accident injury. Looks like she got a knee right to the head and knocked out...black eye and probably a concussion.
Coulda been me. 1986 Oklahoma at Nebraska, I was down on one knee shooting, the play comes right at me, I think I will get killed because I am not a small guy so I don't move that quick, a Neb RB runs out of bounds right around me, the Oklahoma LB chasing him at full speed hurdles me completely, that Oklahoma LB - Brian Bosworth. That guy was absolutely awesome back in the day.
That game was nuts. Saban's head was ready to explode after Auburn's FG before halftime and the 12 men on the field penalty at the end of the game. Happy I wont have to see his whiny ass in the CFP good riddance. Utah, Georgia, Oklahoma would be a welcome alternative.
I don't care for him much, but I will give him kudos, he IS a good coach, but he found out just like EVERY football team both college and pro - when you have one QB you depend on and he goes down, so do you. There are very few teams that, if their QB goes down, they can continue on as if nothing happened. Ohio State, and New England in 2010 (?), aside from that, LSU cannot lose Burrow, and no pro teams can lose their QB, not now.
Wrong. Saints could lose Brees and still get past the first round of the playoffs with Bridgewater. Steelers, Titans doing fine with their backup QB's. Jags arguably not worse with their backup QB.
Consensus is that if all the conference-championship games go according to form, Oklahoma will get the 4th playoff spot. That's okay, but I'd rather see Utah get the slot. If Baylor wins, they should be it.
You may have noticed I said 'very few teams', I did not say 'there are NO teams...' I'd like to see Utah, but then again, nobody is going to beat the top-3, so the 4th team is irrelevent. (LSU, Clemson, Ohio State)
Well, down goes Utah, and with it, the playoff committee's job gets a little easier. I think that Oregon now really rues that loss to ASU because they would still be in the playoff picture without it. But a date in the Rose Bowl is nice consolation. I notice in their commercial that Utah is using the reference to "The U" that has been Miami's stock and trade for many years; I wonder if any copyright issues are involved with that. Of course, Utah can argue that they should really be "The U", because they have two of them! (Maybe, if Miami complains, they can change it to "The U - U" or "The Double U", though the latter might upset Wisconsin!)
Utah really sucked. Looks like Oklahoma will be in the playoffs unless UGA somehow wins. I think they should not allow 2 teams from the same conference in just to make it more interesting with other conferences. OU isn't really that good imo, but it will be interesting to see Jalen Hurts back in the playoffs.
