Nice fast pit for the Risi 488. Now if we could just have some clean racing....
That was a pro driver too. I don't think he was going to make that corner even if the Porsche wasn't there for him to slam into.
man I think this race is about to be flagged. which would really suck as the racing right now is awesome
Porsche's Tandy has been off the line facing the wrong direction more often than going the right way...smh.
This is what makes Alonso so special...Nasr was pushing like mad to try and stay ahead of him, until he made the inevitable mistake...Now just a few laps later Alonso maintains the pace he had before and is a maddening 9 seconds ahead of Nasr...incredible. His win at Le Mans may have had an asterix behind it (only 1 competitive team) but this drive once again shows his brilliance...

Red flag. Just might stay that way. Really really wet. That Nasr error might prove critical. Alonso did very well.
Looking at the radar, maybe a short reprieve from the heavy rain in 45-60 minutes? But would they even choose to resume racing for 30 minutes? And would it really even last for more than a few minutes? #31 DPi Caddy Driver Eric Curran: "It's the worst driving conditions ever. It's not racing, it's survival" #7 DPi Caddy Driver: "it's not really racing conditions"
Race will likely end under yellow behind the safety car. I don't see it ending on a red for this long and I don't see a green being allowed to allow huge wrecks in the last lap.
This is tough. You don't want to call the race but you don't want a 30 minute crash fest so that you can throw the checkered flag either. If the weather looks to continue this way I think you have to call it if it's still bad with under an hour to go.
[IMSA] Race control is working on getting the track back and reviewing positions. An update will be provided at 2 p.m. ET.
