I bet they are doing it to just run yellow to the finish. They want a photo finish with Fernando crossing the line.
Wayne Taylor just gave his vote "Let's not go race any more" Of course he's happy with the DPi standings at the moment, but he spoke pretty honestly about Alonso's assessment of the situation being dangerous.
I've seen that Audi A6 commercial what seems like hundreds of times now. The driver looks 25 and has a 15 year old daughter. Makes no sense.
I think they will end under yellow if at all at this point. The drivers would have to get ready again, the cars would need warmed up, you need pace laps, etc. I don't see how they resume it.
Agree. If they hem and haw long enough the decision will be made for them by default. Maybe that's the plan, make it look like they were being deliberate to the end...nevermind the middle part.
His mood seems to be lightening as the odds of enduring those conditions diminish now. Even Kobayashi smiled.
Just saw that Pastor Maldonado is a Rolex 24 winner. I feel bad for laughing... But I'm laughing. Good for him though.
Too bad Alonso is unable to race at Sebring to win the Florida 36 hours this year. https://us.motorsport.com/imsa/news/sebring-toyota-alonso-kobayashi-conway/4320457/

Well, in hindsight wish I had stayed up for first stints in the rain and slept through most of the morning. Although parts of those brief green flag attempts this am had some impressive driving...er, crash avoidance. Congrats to all. It's a shame about Risi, although the Ford GTs prob took the worst of the WX effects on their outcome. It's racing. Maybe team up with that Vandoorne fellow in Formula E
I like that. Four different national flag "capes" being worn on the podium. P.S. How much are the Rolexes worth? Are they distinctive from watches that anyone can buy?
They're $12k or so, but a waitlist to get one as a commoner is years. The style changes each year like black dial, white dial, steel, steel/gold, etc. The only difference is on the back with an engraving that says Rolex 24 Winner and the year of the race. A couple have come up for auction for whatever reason and bring $40k+. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-daytona-116520-rolex-24-winner.html https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/22895/lot/417/ https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-daytona-116523-winner.html
