Yes, it makes much more sense than starting the race at midnight. I may guarantee that team sponsors looked unfavorably at this as they love to have those nice images with their logos front and center at the drop of the green flag. Aside from the obvious logistics of all this, it's now becoming more interesting. BHW
One has to wonder when racing promoters will require drivers to switch cars with their competitors mid race. We must all play fair !
The Conti race is usually on Friday so it will be interesting to see what they do with that. I haven't made it to Sebring yet, but this may be the year.
