Seems likely, there's no place for a regular production mid-engined model with a V12 (hybrid, which Leiters excludes for the moment, or not). Where would Ferrari put it? Between the 296 and the SF90? Makes no sense. Above the SF90? Makes no sense as well, Ferrari said the Stradale is the top of their line-up.

If Ferrari wanted to build such a *production* model, they would have already done so in the past. Their mid-engined lineup (which is now hybrid) has been ruled by V8s for many years (excluding the halo V12 models).

So if we make a recap for the new ICONA it gives this:

    - Code names F251.
    - Uses the V12 of the 812C.
    - No Hybrid.
    - Based on the Laferrari Aperta.
    - Inspired by the Ferrari 330 P4.
    - Will be presented at the Finali Mondiali 2021 in November.

it might be necessary to make another thread.

no need to rush as we're not 100% confirmed yet so it's all rumor now and this thread is for next icona rumors . only after two months the real thing is coming; i think then we'll need an icona section along with a new thread..

“it might be necessary to make another thread.“
Exactly what I was thinking too. The new thread should be named for example „Second Icona Series (F251) coming soon“. Personally I think the „Icona Series“ will later need an own model portal with “Monza SP1 & SP2 (812 platform)“ and “XXX (LaFerrari Aperta platform)“ under it.

Personally I think that they could show a similar windscreen solution (screenshot taken from an official design sketch from the Ferrari J50). I think one of (the possible two?) cars presented could be a barchetta/spider...well only pure speculation! ;)

Good guess. The wrap-around windscreen would certainly be a nice homage to iconic sport prototypes such as the 330 P4.

how they will manage the windshield design and roof-line of the modern p4 compared with the old gen 412p/330p4? one logical solution is doing fighter-jet canopy style roof as shown in the laferrari tenso concept ...

pininfarina-ferrari p4 /5 was the last attempt to do a modern interpretation of 330p4 / 412p and it had glass canopy roof but to me it has comparatively flat front design .

will the new p4 be as much voluptuous as the original one? at least in a modern way?

I hope it looks 10 times better than the P4/5, as I've never been a fan of that one-off..It looks rather dull. I'm sure Manzoni will do it justice.

And..if It's already been unveiled to VIP customers, we should get some further (probably subtle) confirmations soon.

That seems like a hint…he is stating the obvious, the car is a favourite of most Ferrari fans, but the timing is interesting.

That doesn't surprise me, after all he's already stated it's his favourite model more than once. For those who understand Italian, at 2:03.

Very interesting pics, thanks for sharing!!

Interesting to see the position of the side mirrors, far from the windscreen and just ahead of the front wheels. The nose looks very short too. There are two exhausts and positioned in the middle of the rear bumper.

This car seems to be more “unique” than the Monza, as it not only has it’s own unique design but if the rumors are true it has unique mechanical parts since there isn’t a standard production Ferrari with the 812C engine in the middle with a carbon tub, can’t wait to learn more and see it.
