    Don’t think so, the car is described as having an na v12 sound, would be a tribute to an f50 rather then an f40 by that logic.

    I had the same thoughts (like Ingegnere and you) even before the Manzoni post. The front of the prototype looks very flat and if you only think of the 330 P4, you automatically end up with a retro design like the Ferrari P4/5 or the De Tomaso P72. Manzoni (and his team) knows that and apart from the windshield from the 330 P4, some sharper elements (possibly from the F40) could be the solution to this problem... a new creative approach.

    Maybe Mr. Manzoni or somebody of his team his team read the posts here ... my thought was that they want to fool us with the Manzoni posts about the 330 P4 and the F40. Only they know the truth about the design of the new car (like parents who will soon present their children the Christmas presents...). :D

    I am still going with the F50 . The LaFerrari had lots of P series in its design langauge. Based on the Mutes roof maybe a F50 GT the car that should have been so much more.

    What's the total weight of the battery pack, electric motor and the hybrid power unit in the LaF?

    If it did happen I hope it can sound as good or better like those legendary single turbo inline 6 like the 2jz or rb series, as single turbo inline 6 in general has that distinct sweet sound to it. But still it would be better off with a naturally aspirated v12 though

    You guys are giving Ferrari way too much credit for all this 'follow history' plan. When LdM came upon the P4/5 that Jim was pumped up about someone first had to explain to LdM just what a Ferrari P4 represented. He didn't know what this P4 was that they were talking about...
    As we saw or didn't see with the covered SF90 development cars there is again a lot of hidden design detail that isn't yet understood.

    The only reason for Ferrari looking at putting a turbo on a V12 in the Future is to keep the V12 alive in this eco crazy world

    Tank you, this was helpful (it´s like trial and error). But the latest spy pictures could give us a hint of the lower section of the back which shows the characteristic two columns of the 330 P4 back through the camouflage. I´ve sketched this part.     I agree in some way. But the new icona-line is not a one-off-model like the P4/5 and for me this model line is the REAL Ferrari of the present. And yes: a lot of design details are hidden under the camouflage. But (for a limited time) it´s a nice try to understand more of them. :D

    It looks round I think mostly because of the airflow going inside the camouflage fabric.
