Sorry, I only saw some pieces, not the car. What I saw It's an one off, a special project and not an icona car: the Icona car is another.
This special project one off will be showed very soon.
All right, thanks for your answer, maybe next week? I've heard rumors about that.
that's what I was talking of: to be honest they told me SP + another number very close to 42, but maybe I didn't remember very well
and what about this?.. posted here few months ago by a forum member..

Nice to see a reliable source talking about this, makes it much more believable. Ciao and grazie as usual!
they sourced this news from thesupercarblog.com and the folks from thesupercarblog.com just took information from this and this ( ://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/how-many-sp-cars-so-far.407293/page-4#post-147397681 ) thread and with some vague speculation about 488 gtb based the read here, put them together and didn't even bother to mention about fchat.. it's funny fchat's owner motor1.com sourced that news from there but not from here..
I'm really looking forward to see this Special Project.
Where was this posted, Maha? Thanks.
sorry i didn't find it. probably posted in sep 2019 in this-- https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forums/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific.3/ section..
Open question for the next Icona: which base could be used?
If Icona « F40 » inspired, the proper base would be the F8 Tributo. But in case of a front engine Icona car, could Ferrari still use the 812 base after using it for the Monza SP? I don’t see Ferrari using the Roma/Portofino base for an Icona as they were no front V8 Ferrari in the past.
Any news about it?
2022 is what I hear

Since the F8 is the last non hybrid rear mid engine V8
I would think its a safe bet the F40 Icona would be based on it - IMO
Ferrari has already done several 'specials' on the F8/488/458 platform.
(Retro/Progress) would dictate the new SF90/LB platform to be a much better fit for an F40 program engineering wise.
Lets see what happens
My guess is that it will be the SF90 platform without the hybrid element. Ferrari has created scarcity with a lack of non-hybrid V8. A F40 reincarnation based on SF90 platform without the hybrid peice would have people lining out the doors for $2.5MM+. In addition, they can sell another 199 of the spiders a year later a la La Ferrari Aperta.
The very idea of trying to re-invent the F40 is to me a terrible idea, one which reeks of marketing. Lets celebrate the F40 for what it is, one of the more raw cars ever built.
Leave history as history.
Any news about it ？
i hope you all realize that by starting this thread 4 years ago, and touting up a reimagining of the f40 and then having nothing be presented.....has completely taken any wind out of the sails of this product.
at this stage people either no longer give a damn, or are already predisposed to dislike whatever it is.
I wouldn’t be too sure about that...the thread was way too early but it was not off the mark.

ok. where is the car?
where is there even a real picture of what it will look like?
that car is aimed at people like you and me george.....i was interested.....now i am significantly less interested because they cried wolf for 3-4 years....
This thread started on March 2 2019, so it's less than 2 years.
I have the feeling that the best time to launch an F40 Icona would be in 2027 when the F40 will be 40 years old.
yes sorry 2019.
lets see what happens.
so far i am not impressed
