    Juan Fangio was truely great.
    Stirling Moss was truely great.
    Tazio Nuvolari was truely great.
    Niki Lauda was truely great.
    Do I hate them because they are great? NO, absolutely NOT. I actually admire them because they were great.

    Hamilton is NOT great except as a monumental dick head and arrogant dumb knob.

    Actually, Fangio got one WDC from Collins when his car broke down and Collins handed over his car to Juan to take the championship when Collins could have won it himself

    Agreed.
    While I hope Alonso does well, I do hope Daniel doesn't end up being one of those drivers who never fulfils his potential due to bad / unfortunate career decisions.

    Elton of course being the perfect example of how lucky / well-timed decisions can make all the difference...

    Renault have always been a force to be reckoned with.

    When they got Alonso his WDC I predicted to Troy (that son of mine that turns up when I get banned :p ) that Renault would be on top within a couple of years.

    I don't think they produce the best engines but they have a knack of producing the best car for a period and then leave ...... which is what Mercedes will do in a couple of years.

    Moss was a truely great driver but consistently made bad decisions on which team to drive for. Hence no F1 titles. It looks like Daniel might be similar. Fangio was a truely great driver and off the track made good team decisions as well. Idiot Hamilton is an average driver who is on a GREAT team.
