Keith posting in 3, 2, 2... [emoji2] Good game by the Iggs. The erstwhile Redskins look to be heading to a W as well. T
Good morning Tom. Sorry I'm late. The last two minutes of the game had me diving into the Northern Harvest Rye. Washington has it all together. The NFC East all of a sudden looks like a pro league. Congratulations to Dallas fans.
Woo-hooo WFT. Hey Philly fans - I have a friend in Chicago that wants to know if y'all want Foles back . . . . .
I think the Giants bought into the Giants revival too much. I also bought into SF 'getting all of our players back' (except for Kittle), so I will say I am much more stunned that WA beat SF. Den beating CAR was no real surprise. DET looked better than I expected. I'm a little surprised Phiily won, but for some reason it didn't totally shock me.
Nick Foles will never have to spend a dime of his own money in Philadelphia for the rest of his life. Wentz is not ready for the trash heap, and Hurts is not the second coming of Randall Cunningham. The WFT defense, especially their front four, is perhaps the second best in the league. I don't see the WFT looking back. Giants stink. Boys? Well, I'll leave it to their fans to comment. Eagles finished that game with four defensive starter out in the second half.
I think Wentz is very good and will thrive in a different environment, but where would that be? Where would he fit in on a team that needs a QB? Oh - I think Indy was the leader, and there are teams that could use him but are not a good fit (Chi, Den, SF, Jax...) Remember - Wentz played his college games in a dome...
It's gonna take a whole bunch of #1 draft picks - AND some cash on top of it. Not sure anyone will do that, not sure I would. I was going to pick DEN but then I thought about Denver's QB situation. Another mistake.
there are about 57 ways to manage Wentz' salary cap hit with actual and dead money this year and next, then he has a $10 million roster bonus payable I think May 1 next year. Guys in Philly have this all nailed down to the penny, but it is an enormous whack and Philly has other big back-ended old vet contracts that they need to manage. Something like $ 66 million over the cap in committed money. Whiskey, all the goofy speculators did have the Colts as best prospect. I still think he'll be with IGGS all of next year. With Hurts carrying the ball 50 times a game, it's only a matter of time. Eagles best D-back out for season with torn ACL as of Yesterday. Put your money on Fitzgerald catching a dozen balls for 150 yds. and 2 TDs next week IF their QB gets time to throw it.
Fitz will be lucky to get 35 yards on 4 catches, I LOVE him but AZ does not use him, they like Hopkins, Kirk and Edmonds more than Fitz, why I don't know. I'm still SHOCKED Alshon played in a game - and didn't get hurt!
