Took delivery of my 2020 Portofino in February 2020. Had the dealer install a Escort radar/jammer and direct connect it’s power to the wiring harness. Now after taking the car to another dealership for service in January of 2022 in early February I experienced the car dash lighting up like a Christmas tree. Turned the car off and on and it went away. A few weeks later it did it again. Dealer says it was due to the radar hook-up and I don’t believe it as it has been hooked up that way for 2 years now with no issue till now.

Has anyone else experienced this with their Ferrari? And yes I always hook it up to the battery charger.

Escort Radar detectors have a power down feature if the cars voltage falls below 12 volts. Not sure the exact amount.

We know the Cali and the other models are very sensitive to voltage.

I suspect you have a battery issue. Possibly not charged all the way or is having a difficult time maintaining the charge. From what I understand, every 3 years you will need to replace the battery and if you take 10 minute trips here and there, the battery does not re-charge enough to make up for the loss from cranking the engine. I recently upgraded to the Braille Battery and hooked up a battery sensor and have been issue free since. You might want to do the same.

I mounted an Escort Redline where a sun visor clip is and hard-wired it with an Invisicord harness. The harness has a 3-amp fuse, which shows how little current a detector uses. And the unit turns itself off after the car is parked for a few minutes.
