But not unexpected at all. Three weeks ago Cincy was in complete control until Hamlin went down, and Buffalo had not been consistent at any position all season long, and they could not run ALL SEASON. I think KC is on borrowed time also, they are another team that, like Buffalo, you take away the QB and they have a losing record.
Playoffs round one: Big Easy - 5-1 missed LAC Nicholas - 4-2 missed LAC, Minn Whisky - 4-2 missed Minn, TB due to being an idiot with both losing picks.... Playoffs round two: Whisky - 4-0 I did switch to KC before kickoff on Saturday Nicholas - 3-1 missed on Buff Big Easy - 2-2 missed on the Giants and Buff Totals as of now: Whisky - 8-2 Nicholas - 7-3 BigEasy - 7-3
Conference Championship Weekend, games are both Sunday Cincy at KC, KC is picked by 1.5 SF at Philly, Philly is picked by 2.5 If you pick KC to win they must win by 2 points or more. If you pick Philly to win they must win by 3 or more. Are you two OK with leaving the point spread as-is, or if it changes before Saturday do you want to readjust it and make your picks? We ARE picking by the point spread, not just straight-up W-L. For the Superbowl we will do the spread for our picks, AND the over/under for one tiebreaker, If you guys have an idea for a second tiebreaker let me know and we will use it.
Before I forget, and I may change, I am picking Cinn and SF. I just can't decide on SF or Philly, I can't figure out if SF will win because nobody thinks they will, or if they will lose when Purdy gets hammered.... I can't figure out KC, either....
I guess my only pick that looks silly now was the Giants. For this week I’m picking Philly & KC… (although I do like Burrow & the Purdy story)
My idiotic pick FROM the Giants TO Minnesota was truly stupid. I am switching to Phil for Sunday. I'll post why on Monday.
The reason I switched to Phil on Friday was ONLY because I saw the graphic that said a rookie QB has never won a conference championship game, they were 0-5 going into this one.
I picked KC but dang did Cincy get screwed by the calls those last 2 minutes…. NFL desperate for the Andy Reid vs Philly showdown…. And to NOT have that guy that hit Damar Hamlin in there…. Plus media loves Mahomes….
Did you even SEE the Hamlin hit? I'm guessing not, because it was a normal, every game hit, nothing big or hard about it, he just hit him - or - more precisely - they hit each other at the exact time his heart was in one cycle. This happens to kids in little league baseball with ground balls a couple times a year... Cincy screwed themselves with that last late hit out of bounds. KC also benefitted with some catches that were not catches.
I'm taking Philly in the SB, unless the spread is more than 6 or 7, but I am guessing the spread will be Philly -1.5 We need another line to pick or we may all tie, total pts O/U? Let me know what you guys want to do, we have 2 weeks....
I’m also 9-3 And I’m picking KC over Philly. Agree it was a normal hit… but for the media frenzy of the Super Bowl them not being there that basically kills that narrative. One less thing they can ask about.
damn you are, I thought we alll took Cincy We still need a few other things to pick besides W/L for the SB. I fell for the narrative that Cincy was 4-0 in their last 4 games against KC, while ignoring my own theory that things even out over time.... BUT, I figured Mahomes would be on one leg and throw a few more picks.
Yeah, now all we will hear about will be: 1) Mahomes' leg 2) Hurts' leg 3) Andy Reid having coached both teams 4) and, as usual, Aaron Rodgers 5) AND, Tom Brady
Yea Mahomes ankle looked just fine… they must have a miracle drug they’re shooting him up with… I had an ankle sprain 2 years ago and couldn’t put any weight on that foot for a couple weeks at least (bottom of my foot was purple from pooled blood)… was on crutches for a month. And yes, now the narrative will be all Andy Reid coach’s Philly history….. Mahomes chances at Brady’s records…. the Kelce brothers…. 2 black QB’s (didn’t think Mahomes was black? But I read that already)
You thought his ankle was 'fine'? Were you and I watching the same game? He tried to stay off of it as much as he could, he didn't run around near as much as he usually does, and didn't step into a lot of throws, but he did just enough to win.
I had a high-ankle sprain when I was about 30, I know how I 'moved', and Mahomes was moving the same way I did back then, Patrick was a VERY GOOD Actor on Sunday. I just noticed certain things, that's all, I felt my sprain for almost 6 months...
As of right now, Wednesday 1:25pm CST, Philly is a 1.5 pick to win. So if you pick Philly, they need to win by 2 points or more. You can make a pick now just in case you forget, and/or you can make or change your pick up until kickoff, which we will say is 5:30pm CST on Sunday. I keep flip-flopping, but so far I am sticking with Philly.
I'm picking KC.... I think the lights might get a bit bright for that Philly team, talented as they are
I just can't decide. I listen to sports talk radio, and all they do is spew 'facts' about Hurts' last three games, and Mahomes' ankle, and KC's supposed lack of a serious deep threat, Philly's injured O/L, KC's much improved D/L, Philly's vastly experienced DB's, KC's rookie DB's, Hurts' inability to throw deep the last two games, MY concern is KC's kicker Butker...
