The guy lives and breathes racing. Media not so much, haha. The amount of sim racing he does with his teammates is ridiculous, but doesn't make a media statement of it (in fact most of the time people only know he's on because of his teammates/other racers who see him in the entry list. Same goes for Alonso BTW. He's often found on iRacing in any type of lobby, from MX5 short races to LMP1 endurance, also Tony Kanaan, Heikki Kovalainen, Rubens Barrichello and Montoya. All often found in lobbies racing without shouting it off the rooftops that they're there... Very cool for mere mortals to be able to race against genuine F1 and indycar world champions and winners.
I thought they were not going to make it due to recent departures of key officials... Glad to know they are sticking with the scheduled launch,
Already Mercedes win top of the list. Hope the season has a good mix. And make me a Ferrari fan again. Then I can fly my flag in front of my house on race day just like the old days

Sharp looking car. The halo flows into the nose which I think flows well into the front wing. Nice looking car. Hopefully it's fast.
Am I crazy or that thing is quite good looking? I think it's the first single seater that looks good since they put the HALO.
Not a bad "real" 2022 car. I think the big tires will get those cute little front wheel wings removed after the first race when a few tires degrade leaving carbon fiber flying everywhere. Good looking cars this season, until they mess them up??? I hope not.
Actually, by painting the outboard area of the intakes black they’ve effectively made these look bigger. Seems they’re trying to camouflage the quite flat surface there for some reason. Or maybe they hand the option to open this up if needed. Also, that large expanse of gills on the top of the side pods is larger than I thought the rules allow.
To me it seems the FIA mule was more slung down within the wheels. Maybe just the angle. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So I guess we’ve basically had a preview of the Merc then, yes? Or have AM had to design their own car this year?
