2022 season average race pace, from HOTLAPMODE.

AVERAGE RACE PACE | 2022 SEASON
    Red Bull RB18: 0.00%
    Ferrari F1-75: +0.19%
    Mercedes W13: +0.59%
    Alpine A522: +1.46%
    McLaren MCL36: +1.56%
    Aston Martin AMR22: +1.84%
    Alpha Tauri AT03: +1.84%
    Alfa Romeo C42: +1.87%
    Haas VF22: +2.06%
    Williams FW44: +2.29%

    Notes:

Red Bull: In the first half of the season the RB18 was +0.05% on the F1-75, in the second half the gap became -0.48% to their closest competitors: Mercedes. Car development, tyre wear, efficiency and a great PU (especially ERS) were the areas where Red Bull made the difference

Ferrari: The first segment of the season was perhaps too sweet, being the fastest car but not the most reliable. Reliability potentially cost Ferrari some wins in the second part of the season with the PU turned down, but tyre wear was the main issue after Belgium.

Mercedes: The W13 started off almost a second off the pace, and didn't improve until after Miami (+1.34% in that race). With the Spain, Britain and USA packages the engineers made three huge steps and brought the W13 to be the second fastest car after Belgium (-0.07% on Ferrari)

Alpine: A mix of good speed and very poor reliability: the Alpine was best of the rest, but with good reliability the points margin would've perhaps been even bigger to McLaren. Excellent development rate in the first half of the season, hopefully closer to the front next season

McLaren: Overall the team that improved the most during this season, even more than Mercedes since Bahrain. The second half of the season saw the MCL36 on average +0.03% on the Alpine (virtually nothing). Like Alpine, hopefully closer to the top 3 in 2023

Alfa Romeo: The excellent start of the season gave false hopes: on pace with McLaren until Monaco. 1.70% off Red Bull until Hungary, 2.13% off the pace after Belgium. Possibly the TD039 hurt the C42 as well, next year development has to be much better

Aston Martin: Disastrous start of the season: 2.07% slower than the RB18 until Austria, but a good improvement after France to bring the AMR22 "only" 1.55% from the top, and 1.53% after Belgium making the AMR22 the fastest midfield car after the summer break (-0.01% on Alpine)

Haas: Similar to Alfa Romeo, Haas had a strong start to the season (especially the first few races until Imola), but got lost when other teams developed. +1.88% until Hungary, +2.34% after Belgium making the VF22 the slowest car in the second half of the season. Not great

Alpha Tauri: The AT03 had many ups and downs during the season, kept similar pace in the first (+1.80%) and second half of the year (+1.89%) but many times the drivers couldn't capitalize due to mistakes, or issues on the team's side. A big step back compared to last season

Williams: One of the few good features of this car was tyre wear, surprising for a car with very low downforce, but this helped gain some points. Little improvement from the first to the second half, +2.34% to +2.20%, but from a team like Williams we should expect much more

    Pace until Hungary>after Belgium

    C42: +1.70%>+2.13%

    FW44: +2.34%>+2.20%

Red Bull enjoyed a 0.19% advantage over the field on average over the whole year (of course, before TD39 they where slightly behind, post TD39 enjoyed a big advantage), this is how that compares to cars since 2010:
