I posted an extensive thread on install, including torque specs. Never did anyone question it. Official Ferrari corporate reps (specifically 2 guys, head guy in the world for technical assistance and head of US) have looked at the thread too with no issues, and in addition to what obviously failed, not only did my install not cause it but no installation error could have caused it… 2 supercar mechanics, from different shops, and 1 private Ferrari mechanic (does Ferrari work for car dealers) reviewed my thread and all said I did a better job on install than is standard practice; in referencing the workshop manual, thoroughness, and preventative maintenance replaced parts. Further analysis and history of what failed further exonerates me, all of which I hope I can share.
-If you’re doing a “DIY conversion” I suggest you don’t set a precedence of first blaming the installer, because, anyone could probably find something you did wrong, or should have done differently, to some degree, but that doesn’t necessarily invalidate/put into question the entirety of the job’s quality. If you accidentally scratch the car with a screwdriver, does that mean you’re sloppy and lazy and therefore everything you’ve touched is invalidated? Like you, I know with proper patience, thoroughness, attention to detail, and referencing the WSM that we likely do higher quality jobs than most shops. As I’ve seen first hand.

“Smashed wire” is not accurate. Nor was that touched on my clutch/flywheel install and the car was fine before, and fine for ~1,000 miles after install. Yes, one of the crankshaft position sensor wires had a dent in the wiring wrap, which was irrelevant after I found the real issue; I mentioned it because I had a crankshaft position correlation code but the real cause of it was totally different, and obvious... IIRC, that wire is tucked under the intake manifold which was never worked around by me, or during my ownership/last 6,000 miles. I was sorting through many things before I pulled the gearbox off. Everything from cleaning MAFs, checking every sensor, changing fuel, etc. Then after compression and leakdown tests, gearbox pulled. Now, the whole engine has been pulled, heads pulled off too. If anyone saw the real issue, which seems it will be shared soon, it will be an incredible wake up call to the car community, across many makes and models and types of parts. I learned so much through this process and I really hope I get to share it all with every car community I can think of, every dealership and retailer, every state/federal agency I can think of, etc. What occurred is irrefutably not my fault and it pains me how many other people may be, or will be, affected, especially overtime due to these cars infrequency of use (unlike me immediately putting ~1k miles on it and keeping it at temp on a road trip).

Sorry for the delay on answers but first I’m trying to 1) resolve the issue on my end and give people a chance to be reasonable/ethical and 2) I spent time gathering facts. Let’s just say, Ferrari corporate is highly responsive and helpful (who are still needing more information and communication records, but I’m awaiting to see the final direction I take this process), they do not seem to mess around.

does this have to do with velocity or oem?

As I posted earlier, I was very curious about the results of using the velocityA/P clutch and flywheel, as an alternative to the pricey OEM unit.

Reading the Velocity A/P site description, it seemed like a great option, but was I STILL nervous to actually take the plunge and install one.

Can I safely assume that you wouldn't recommend this clutch and flywheel set up?

That would be a good assumption. I have always thought that when the thing is deep in the belly of the beast, you just buy factory stuff.

I'm not so sure. Something happend. Personally, ( I'm only taking a guess). I think the flywheel broke.

Could be legal stuff involved. Gotta give the benefit of the doubt here. Obviously there was an issue, and without an explanation..or a solution, I will not be purchasing.
