Too quiet. Is the season over? And what does that mean for the Singapore race? The teams must all be doing something. Has Ferrari already settled for 3rd? Are they now just going to test parts for next season? RB wants to close the deal asap. Mercedes wants to put the nails in Ferrari's coffin. McLaren wants something to brag about...anything...but coming in 5th in the season isn't it. Alpine is going to fight to keep 4th. Alfa Romeo and Alpha are just there to be R&D for their A teams. Haas seems more lost for direction and leadership than at any time since it entered F1. Aston Martin's only glory is that they beat Williams. And Williams continues to be...what? Place markers on the grid? They bring nothing to the sport but a hollow name. Would you buy a ticket to Singapore to see this? .

Ferrari is currently in 2nd. Mercedes isn't even holding the lid, let along hammering nails at this point. Geez man, get a grip.

Mods: can we change the title of the thread to "Sunshine only fans let's all cry before the next race"?

Just looking at the standings and at the momentum and how the teams are performing. We have six races left. More than enough for Perez and Russel to take second and third in the drivers' championship...and more than enough for Mercedes to muscle past Ferrari's 34 point lead over Mercedes, and take second in the constructors championship. Ferrari is digging the six foot deep hole and Mercedes is ready to shove the dirt on top of their coffin. Ferrari isn't getting stronger, and RB and Mercedes are.

Ferrari is coming with a new floor in Singapore and I believe another rear wing as well.

Be interesting to see this battle with Mclaren play out -
Alpine expects ‘massive’ downforce step from new Singapore F1 floor
Alpine says a new floor upgrade it is bringing to Formula 1’s Singapore Grand Prix should deliver a ‘massive’ step forward in downforce.

I understand Haas's new aero upgrades are to shave Mick's head, and to make Magnusen where an athletic cup to restrict his balls. Williams' aera engineers are debating whether to give Latifi a new helmet without an opening for his face, or to simply cut off his head. And Alfa is doing simulator tests with Bottas in Kabuki make up. Alphatauri, on the other hand, has simply employed a French speaking Psychic. And the development upgrades go on.

By Binotto's standards, Ferrari ticked all the boxes this year. ;)

The current F1 penalty points system and when they expire. You're allowed 12 points in a year (whether last year and this year).....any more and the driver faces a race ban.

Still a chance that the high speed Monza and Spa sections and results will not hold true the rest of the season, as far as Red Bull walking away with it. I think all the mid field battles are still fun to watch, plus seeing if Albon can score points every race.

If the Ferrari drivers just keep the car on the road they should still finish ahead of Mercedes.

Rooting for George to beat Lewis, that's on points, not on "that's dangerous driving man" radio calls.

Heat + tire wear = RedBull. The car is good in all regimes now like some of the Mercedes machines in the past. Id like to see Ferrari up front but realism states we have a very capable RedBull that maybe a few months ago was not so capable.

Hungary and Singapore share similar circuit characteristics. I see a RedBull front row(Max) and a win. Im losing faith in Ferrari as a package. In tire wear alone its RedBull advantage. Vehicle dynamics over 1 lap is close but RedBull are stronger now there as well.

There won't be any difficulty to control track limits in Singapore by the look of it. I like it !!!

Any indiscretion = instant karma !! I wish all the circuits were the same on that aspect.

Oh but a late last 8 laps safety car will cause another F1 meltdown LOL. How dare we not have racing ...........
No one is happy. We want tight and penalizing tracks we just dont want a race to be hindered either...............
