Red Bull and AlphaTauri launch here in NYC, but no word on details. Tons of people would like to attend, but AT especially being held during Fashion Week is likely to be a fashion-centric-super-limited attendance event.

Two weeks before the first race?! This seems very late and strange compared to past years. Are they hiding something...such as, they have nothing to show but new paint? The paint is still going to be drying when they get to the track for their first tests. Interesting to see how many mechanical failures show up in the testing.

Presentations are of no interest. They are just PR exercises to satisfy the sponsors.
We learn nothing from last year cars in different liveries, and teams have become experts in fooling the public.
We just have to look at Mercedes last year: they showed a car completely different than the one they raced later.

It is a thread with zero important information as relates to the cars for the 2023 season. I predict several train wrecks, beginning with the faux testing, and continuing through the first two (at least) faux races.

Is this your first time knowing about launch dates and what information you are going to find out? Sorry to disappoint, but we won't see the actual cars till Bahrain testing and then we will have an idea of where everyone stands in 3 to 4 races time after Bahrain testing.

I think the RedBull unveiling was pretty lame. The car probably is amazing, but the show was poor. I do have to say Ferrari always puts on a spectacle at least. Now if they can just get a fast car...

So a month to the first race...four weeks...30 days...and there is no news about the new cars. All we know is that they are burning up a lot of fuel on the simulators, which are what got us into the porpoising mess last year. This means the cars will have little better than warm up laps before they go at it for real. These early events won't be races, they be practice sessions to correct all the problems that earlier and more testing would have eliminated. No wonder they have extended the number of races...the first three or four will mean nothing in terms of actual competitive performance contests.

As somebody with half an eye on fashion, who has lived in one of the worlds fashion capitals, who has a fashion conscious wife, who is friends with fashion editor ladies, I would like to share the following ‘fashion observations’.

    AT 7/10
    Good technical fabrics, practical, understated.

    Ferrari 0/10
Flashy crap, brand value diminishing, awful.

I wouldn’t even raise it, but my 2022 Ferrari yearbook came with a ‘fashion’ cover and a good 75% of the emails I receive from Ferrari seem to be concerned with their ill fated venture.

I know that nobody cares, that it´s an old resprayed car, and that they even didn´t bother to make a new livery, but doesn´t Williams deserve to have at least one picture in this thread?

I guess I´ll have to post it myself.

P.S: yep, no blue-orange, just some Gulf stickers somewhere. CHEAP!!! After this and the Ford promo in the RedBull-Honda presentation, it looks this season is going to be crap from day one.

I think there are some savings to be done among cash-strapped teams by skipping presentations altogether.
The public will see the cars soon enough, so what's the point of all this costly PR exercise, where you learn absolutely nothing ?

Car launches these days are such an enormous disappointment. They are literally just livery launches.

Just another example how F1 isn't what it used to be.

Well, you get some well needed clicks and press notes, specially now that there is nothing else to fill the F1 pages in the papers. Actually I think they do these livery presentations with mock-ups not to delay the showing of the new car but to grab the attention for two days instead of just one.
