    Nope.

I quit watching when players started taking days off.

But don't feel bad: just a couple years ago we had so many guys playing NFL Fantasy Football
that we had two leagues, last year only two PEOPLE showed an interest, myself and Nicholson...
Even the NFL Pick'em - 3 people started and one quit a few weeks in.....

A lot of people talk about the NFL here, but nobody wants to play FF....

Taking games off with almost no notice after guys have spent
a ton of hard-earned money to take their kid(s) to the ONE game
to see their hero when his team is in town visiting - that really pisses me off.
Of course the NBA cannot and will not do a thing about guys faking
injury, it's always a 'minor calf tightness' or some BS like that,
nothing anyone can prove or disprove.

And the CONSTANT talk all season long about MVP this and MVP that,
constant yack about who the GOAT is, coupled with constant whining
about the rules/refereeing is just a huge turnoff to me.

'Back in the day' each of us could name off the starting 5 of a half-dozen
teams we liked, today you can barely name THREE players on ONE team.

Of course I said prior I don't watch (much) anymore, there are teams I cannot
name a single player - because the media ignores them, and several I can name
one player and no others: Lillard, Zion, that Joker guy, idiot Moront.

I have no idea who anyone is on Utah, Charlotte, Indiana, Toronto, Orlando, Detroit,
Ok City, Houston, San Antonio - NO idea.
Because the media won't discuss them, it's ALWAYS the same, tired 5 or 10
guys they talk about and nobody else.

Ja Jaw Jon - whatever the hell his name is - Morant - needs a year suspension without pay.

    Rules violation - Article 39 Subset 97 - 'Being a moron'

Agree with Whisky about getting turned off of the NBA when the players started getting “load managed” like babies…. Not to mention the social justice insanity.

However, I must admit I’ve been watching the playoffs this year. Would like to see Denver win it. Jokic is a class-act and a beast at the same time.

Him against Jimmy Butler and Miami should be great

But it’s crazy now how much time and effort goes into building the teams now…. Who’s teaming up with who…. They’re all thinking they can win it all before a game actually gets played…. So any time a solid cast of role players with smart coaching wins, it’s fun to watch.

While I've never been a Celtics fan (even though I'm related to Red Auerbach), I was rooting for them because Jaylen Brown is a local Marietta kid (who I saw play in high school) and Al Horford is a fellow Gator. But against Miami they seem to have forgotten to show up! I think now it will be a Miani/Denver final, and even though I used to live in Miami, I'd root for the Nuggets.

the talking heads on TV keep pointing to the coach drama at the beginning of the season being the difference maker.... Ime Udoka got involved with the wrong guy's wife and that superseded what was best for the team

I'm not so sure that would not have made any difference.

First, Boston does not have a take-charge 'Alpha Dog' player, and second, Spoelstra is one of the
best coaches of all time. Boston's coaching was not the issue, I don't think.

Well it was pretty much the same teams last year, and it went the other way.... but yea I think probably a combination of a lot of things, not just coach

And again, but this time with the Sports MSM, I don't understand where 'they' are
saying we are 'crying for a Boston/LA final...', This isn't the same NBA as it was 30-40
years ago, just like nascar, indycar, MLB, I am just not so sure anyone cares anymore.

Some can give the excuse of how a 'small market team' kills TV revenue, but they kinda
forget about the Green Bay Packers, the Raiders, the Patriots, St Louis Cardinals baseball,
even the Buffalo Bills and KC Chiefs, which are all small market teams people like to watch.
(and yes, I know those are different sports, the idea is the same = small market.

The Lakers could have won three of these games against Denver,
but LA got tired, and the facts show - they don't have a 3-point shooter.
And Denver was a better TEAM top-to-bottom.

With streaming and social media, I don't think the small market stuff matters anymore.

I was listening to a segment about the Spurs getting Wembanyama.... and how for someone that will have an automatic following world-wide, you can follow the Spurs now just as easy as a NYC or LA team.

You can follow ANY team very easily.

The press still thinks these are the Magic and Kareem Lakers, McHale and Bird Celtics, Michael and Rodman Bulls,
Moses and Dr. J 76'rs, Reed and Walt Knicks.....

If any team is going to come back from a 3-0 deficit, it would be a first seed team vs an 8th seed team.

I'm rooting for Denver..... not sure if Boston or Miami is the tougher matchup for them? Probably Boston... but Miami has been so hot.

All the talking heads are saying Denver would beat either pretty handily regardless.

    So. Game 7 in Boston.

I’m rooting for Denver… so no real dog in the Boston/Miami fight… but a lot of strange things in that game, outside of that wild tip finish.

Not sure if it’s good or bad for Denver to be getting all this rest. They’ll come in cold and (presumably) Boston will be coming in exhausted, but with red hot momentum.

Congrats to Denver… would love to see them do it again next year… such a solid core of guys is refreshing compared to the team-flipping superstar drama queens.

I am so sick and tired of all the Sports idiots discussing if Jokic is 'one of the greatest Centers of all time'.
    He's not even close.
He's good - TODAY - because nobody even TRIES to defend him.
AND you cannot even BREATHE on players anymore without getting a foul called on you.
You put him in the NBA anytime from about 1974 to about 2005 and he would be 'JAG' (just a guy)
Laimbeer, Malone, Thurmond, Hakeem, Robinson, Shaq, Duncan, Artest, I can name off about 12 others
he would have a hard time against...

That's only 3 or 4 clowns, it's the 'above average' guys that think they
are better than they are and want to GET PAID that are the issues.
I pay zero attention to the guys you are talking about, I simply don't care,
I don't even know what teams some of these clowns play for, I can't keep up,
    so I don't even try.
That's why 'Dynasties' are done in pro sports going forward.
