For well over a hundred years London's Savile Row, adjacent to Regent Street, has been renowned for bespoke suits. For the last three years, it has also hosted a Concours organized by Hothouse Media (who are also the publishers of Magneto magazine and recently took over Octane magazine as well).

This year some three dozen cars were on display, three of which were Ferraris, along with a number of motorcycles. It is worth mentioning too, that this is a free event and even the event catalogue is free. So, whilst it may be quite small in scale there is no reason not to make a detour if you happen to be in London at the right time.

Let's start with this 500 TR

Mike Hawthorn's Tourist Trophy Garage was the original Ferrari importer for the UK and this 250 PF Coupe was the first Ferrari officially imported. Not long afterwards, Hawthorn was killed driving his Jaguar road car on what is now the Guildford bypass and the Franchise ultimately passed to Ronnie Hoare's Maranello Concessionaires.

A bit more modern but I hope you'll excuse their inclusion here.

Ian Callum is best known for his design work at Jaguar and Aston Martin. The Callum Skye was unveiled at the show. I'm not sure quite what it is!! The blurb says "...the world’s 'most beautiful high-performance multi-terrain vehicle', it is a pioneering all-wheel-drive electric machine built to meet the rigorous demands of off-road terrain, while delivering comfort and handling for an exhilarating on-road experience...". So now you know.

And finally... This an Everrati Mercedes-Benz SL ‘Pagoda’. Basically, they have a taken a classic Mercedes and replaced the engine with an electric motor. I'm not too sure why you would want to rip out the heart and soul of your classic car whilst trashing the value at the same time but presumably there are people who think it is a good idea. Please post if you're one of them!

I wonder who will be the first 250 GTO owner to follow suit...

Wow many years ago when I was a youngin, I was tasked to pick up some equipment from the now defunct auto museum in Cloverdale BC. Upon entry I noticed there was only one car in it. Yup you guessed it the real Lennon RR. My partner and I walked up to it tried the door handle and it opened right up. Cool........now I wondered what it would be like to be Lennon and sit in it so we grabbed our lunch's and proceeded to eat inside ...LOL.

Great pics Jonathan! I hope all is well with you. What's the Bentley with the plate YO 736? My Dad saw it in Putney yesterday, presumably on the way home

Thanks Chris. I don't know about the Bentley. It was parked just beyond the edge of the show with another Bentley, although I assume it wasn't there by co-incidence. The other Bentley next to it had Lunaz plates like the Jaguar pictured in front of the Cartier store above. Lunaz are another company that converts classic cars to electric.
