I think so. he's replacing Jay Frye (not sure where he's off to?), Doug does a great job with marketing and fan engagement at the Speedway, which is something the series is sorely lacking.

It took me awhile to get used to the 'hoop' in F1, but I will never get used to an enclosed cockpit in Indycar racing, to me that's just open-wheel ALMS racing...

Name one series that isn't. Besides WRC and 'Baja' truck racing (some classes) Rules are so stupid-tight you are basically running a spec-car. Getting fined for using 'unapproved bolts' is ridiculous.
