    My memory may not be serving me well, or perhaps there were different styles of 206 knobs, but as I remember the one I once owned (1) had the shift pattern etched on the top surface, but not under any clear covering, and (2) was a two segment piece with a small chrome piece which when tightened against the upper knob helped secure it in place.

    ALoha....I just got orders for 7 knobs...wow........if anyone else wants one please contact me so I can get everything I need at one time......should take me about a month to make them. The original one I used for a model was from Bill LeMasters car.......has clear plastic insert...see the foto below
