Hello All I need some 206 help. Could someone scan the electrical schematic and the diagram that shows the fuse arrangements on a 206? My manual doesnt cover my L and apparently its 206. Thanks Steve
3000GT, Thank you for posting the schematic. Is this from a 206 manual? My fuse & relay board has a slightly different arrangement. I actually have 3 fuse blocks. 2 blocks that have 6 fuses ea. and another that has 2. None of the Bakelite covers has any description of applications or fuse ratings. Thanks Steve
Hi Steve: There should be no difference between a 206 and an "L" series electrical panel. I've posted photos of mine as well as images of the fuse box cover labels. When I restored my Dino in the late 90's, I needed to replace my fuse box covers as they were torn to shreds but replacements were not available. I scanned a decent pair of labels from a friend's "L" series car, cleaned up the lettering (because his weren't great either) and had new labels printed in quantity so you are in luck! Parker Hall is a prince of a guy and specializes in selling these sorts of things so he purchased my inventory and can sell them to you. Parker can be reached at: Parker Hall 940 Warrenton Rd. Vicksburg, MS 39180 (601) 638-7856 Lastly, the bakelite fuse boxes and covers differ by car. The 206 and early L series cars used the same fuse boxes as the 275. However, the labels on a 275 box were riveted on so if you find an old set of 275 boxes, you'll need to fill the holes and paint the covers if you want them to be show-ready. At some point, L series cars switched to more rounded fuse boxes but the labels stayed the same. If you don't have fused boxes, I think you would be just fine if you found a pair of either type of box I mentioned above. As for the price, the labels are reasonable but the fuse boxes...yikes. Best of luck. ...Keith Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep, scans from 206gt manual (attached). Photo is of 206gt fuse boxes; labels same as Keith shows. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the pics guys. 00988 is different for some reason, but looks original. for one, my light is attached to the fuse/relay board. I'll post pics tonight. Thanks again. Steve
Here's a photo from the second series Dino fuse panel. Notice that a light on the panel has replaced the turn signal repeater which was moved into the dash so that you could actually hear it! Other than that, it is essentially the same. Looking forward to seeing what you've got Steve. My friend has 00870 and it has the same panel as the one pictured in the 206/246L manual. Here are pic. of my fuse/relay board. My turnsignal flasher unit is under my dash. I know the voltage regulator has been replaced. I guess its possible someone added the 3rd fuse box. I just had a thought. My car has power windows, I'll bet the extra fuses are for them. I'll ring the wires out tomorrow and that will tell. So I guess I've got a series 2 board? Either way I appreciate the help. Thanks, Steve Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like you have the later series fuse boxes and perhaps an added fuse box but all in all, some good original stuff (voltage regulator aside). I'd leave it be unless you don't like it. For what it is worth, my car was a mess and needed a completely new wiring harness and panel when I restored it. Cool car....Keith
I'll try to source a proper voltage regulator and also give Parker Hall a call. Aside from that, i'm just going to clean it up. Thanks for the input. B. Regards, Steve
Looks like Dennis McCann sells them for $130 (Part #4474566) but you should check with him to make sure it's NOS. You should also see if he has any old FIAT covers for them which is right for your car. There are two for sale on eBay and while they look rough, for $10, it might be worth checking out. Cheers...Keith
