I have read that 208 turbo cars exist. I don't know anyone who has one or any production numbers. The only time I've even seen it mentioned was in Bluemel's book on V8 Ferraris. Would the turbo fit on a 308, if so who manufactured it, any engine changes needed...what do you guys think?

They were made for the Italian market (emmissions if I remember correctly)

Norwood in the States (and a site sponsor) do Twin turbo conversions

Mansell cars did them here in the Uk in the 80's

Koenig still do them them as well

Not cheap though, do a search there are various threads on the subject

208 has different pistons and compression to deal with the turbo, there are a few bolt on supercharged 3x8's on this site a quick search in the tech section will get you lots of info on the installations.

The user Napolis on this site recently bought a 208 turbo for his son

One minor point -- the later GTS/B turbo has a different decklid to clear the intercooler. The early turbo 208 did not have the intercooler, and so the decklid was the same.

The system is terribly outdated by today's tech, you're better off with a custom install

Indeed, Italy has/had? a luxury car tax for cars over 2 litres, hence 208 Turbo.

Did anyone saw the bolt-on Supercharge kit that was on NickFozas 308 that was display in the Moterey Concorso? anyway I spoke to him about it and he told me its a kit that's very easy to install. For $10k it will add 100 HP, now does anybody here have this and know anything about it? Also, is 100HP gain worth $10K? Thanks

Stick on some nitrous, you can add 50-100hp for a few hundred dollars, they are easy to fit as well, just don't go more than 100hp on the jets to be perfectly safe

Don't you have to have Forged Piston for NOS? I don't know if the 308's comes with forged pistons.

    This is my GTSTurbo.

The Turbo (IHI) and Intercooler (Behr) is the same to the one of F288 and F40 (they have 2)

    Everything is original by Ferrari.

    Regards,

    Alfredo.
