Does anyone know of a way to get discounted tickets to Pebble Beach? $150 is a tad steep for someone of my financial standing.
good question, I think Quail tickets often sell at a mark-up and Pebble Beach would be next for value of tickets.
There has been a lack of activity in this thread lately. Is the proposed F40 anniversary gathering and subsequent Laguna Seca trackday still going ahead? Hoping to make it over but can't add an extra F40, unfortunately.
Hey Tristan, My dad and i are trying to make it. So it would be great to meet you finally. It is still happening. Btw, check my facebook, i was at the PCA concours in St Charles. There are 3 964 Turbos, one of which has a factory wing that i never saw.Let me know if you have info on it? Cheers. Andrew
Plans are still up in the air at the moment, haven't formally booked anything yet but about 85% chance that I will make the trip. Original plan was to tour Europe, attend Goodwood FOS, Le Mans Classic and all the car museum and factory tours; unfortunately that didn't materialise. Now it looks like it will just be a quick in-and-out trip to the USA, just for the Monterey Week festivities. Will be great to finally meet you too, managed to meet Dirk and Richard Owen last year. Will check it later, in the middle of another all-nighter. Does sound interesting.
20+ F40's are presently registered at Concorso with several more yet to register. Friday the 13th August will be a special day as the cars gather on the Concorso lawn. That night, a dinner is planned for the car owners and special guests at a fantastic venue thanks to our friends at Hagertys... After enjoying the Historics on Saturday and Pebble on Sunday, the icing on top will be a full day of track fun/camraderie at Laguna Seca on Monday courtesy of Hooked on Driving and David Ray. We will have many F40's/Enzo's/Challenge cars and a total field of 60 Ferraris with the track to ourselves all day...it will be magical ! Come on out and enjoy the fun...it will be a memorable time for all that are fortunate to attend.
I am looking forward to Concorso on Friday and Laguna on Monday! Hopefully I can chill all day on Monday.
Wow! Guess I better stick around for monday then! If I don't own a ferrari can I at least go and take pictures?
Is anybody planning on doing a group photoshoot for this even on Monday??? I'M asking because I would like to help out if at all possible. We (SCRAMP) will be helping with the line up for the Reunion Photoshoot on Thursday afternoon, and since the High Lift will be there, maybe it could be used to do a photoshoot of all the cars on Monday.
Thats very kind of you. I believe that the management of the track day (Hooked on Driving, David Ray) have a photographer that does their track days. But if use of the lift is possible, it would make for a nice pic of 60 Ferraris !
I will be there next week for Moto GP, I will talk to someone and see if it would be possible. The Start/Finish bridge was done in 2004 for the Historics when Ferrari was the Marque. The problem was the lighting was off. So they prefer to use the straight from turn 3-4 where the Cooper tire bridge is. But that is only because of the time in the afternoon that the pics are shot. So maybe the front straight would be good since they have the Starter tower that could be used for the photographer.
I made a good attempt to fly out just for Friday, but I need to fly Jennie and Mia to Kansas for Mia's Great Grandma's 90th. Take a bunch of pics!
Happy BDay to Grandma ! Sorry you can't make it, maybe next year. Thanks for your support, hopefully everyone will have a good time out there
