    A good friend's 212 with an $800K reserve just sold for $1.7M on the block. The sale is rather interesting to say the least and likely going to break more than a few records.

    Both cars looked extremely nice. Ive noticed that most cars dont seem to be pulling very much money, but once again it appears people are gladly stepping up to the plate to get the best of the best.
    The less spectacular or unique cars are, for the most part, at or below minimum estimate.

    Not one car is being given away and I can think of nothing that I would call a steel or even great deal. Just some really great cars selling at fair market value. The same trend as has been the norm for the past few years seems to be holding true. So far, the few cars that did not sell all had unrealistic reserves. All the sales were at or well above what I would have pegged as fair market value.

    The bottom line is every sale marks at that moment the only real gauge of current value. Lets see where the final lots fall and how RM fares tomorrow to get a better trend on peaks and valleys.

    That is a good price! Although the reserve was too low IMO, this 1.7M is high.

    Hope this old banger found a good home. Does it stay in th US?

    I thought that Gooding did a great job in getting strong prices acrossed the board at this sale.
