Suprised no one has posted this yet on here. Most expensive i have seen yet. Get your teeth into this one lads and commence the slagging of and talking the car down Used 1996 FERRARI F355 GTS for sale in West Yorkshire | Pistonheads
I wouldn't knock the car. I'm just wondering how they came to that price ....you can buy 4 or 5 good 355's for that amount and have $$$ left over
Hummm, I'm not sure what to say on this one. In the UK how much would this be worth if if had 30k miles instead of 1k?
I only took the plastic off my carpets a few months back - should've kept it on seems to increase the value no end. Hope they sell it, but what a waste to not use a car like this.
You can tell it's a 2.7 by the 2 separate air intakes for the air boxes. The 5.2 has an X shape that combines into 1. The leather on the glove box looks very warped. Still can't believe the price, they've got balls!
Warped leather on the airbag, seems my car has even more in common with this. Great news! I'm sure mines a 5.2 although it is a 96, will be check inning it in the garage first thing tomorrow (I know this is the kind of thing I should know). Thanks for the explanation.
355's sell for a lot more in the UK in general...from what I understand this has something to do with import taxes?
No import tax for the UK (that's for Australia, where they cost more than in the UK). Some cars are more in the UK, while some are less, and it depends also on exchange rates and years. At the moment, all Ferraris tend to be a bit more in the UK, but it's purely down to supply vs demand of RHD examples.
Even by UK standards, that is double the previous highest quoted 355 price. Although this one is very low mileage, this is yet another UK main dealer flying a kite to try to catch a rich idiot with the Ferrari Main Dealer name. They should be ashamed advertising it for such a price without even sorting the air bag cover on the dash. The big problem in the UK at the moment is sheer lack of RHD stock for sale. There were only 434 UK RHD 355 GTS sold and a lot less 348's. In a rising market most are holding onto them hoping they can sell for more just before the bubble bursts - and it will. A UK Indy is floating a rare concours 348GTC (only 11 RHD made) for £200,000 ($300,000) whereas they sold it to a collector exactly a year ago for £100,000 ($150,000) and we were al surprised at that. Back to planet earth, a mint RHD 348TB (only 130 made) has sold privately within a few days for in excess of £50,000 ($75,000). I think he could have held out for more but he was moving abroad.
Is it not the case that the '96 cars were 2.7 in ROW and 5.2 in NA? May be the wrong info just curious...
I thought 94 was no airbag? I think this seems like a later production 95 or early production 96 as it's a single fuel pump but not sure.
Why is the price outrageous and the dealer looking for an "idiot"? Last time I checked not many "idiots" write 200k + checks for classic Ferrari's. How many 355 b's are on our planet with miles like that? And what is it worth? Is someone that pays 12 million for a Mclaren F1 an idiot when u could buy one for 1 million a few years ago?
Not many here are true collectors or have an understanding of what they look for. If collectors are looking for 355's now they will pay up for this one.
