The 365 rims are not compatible with TRX tires. If you want to be period correct, best tires you can find for the 365 are Michelin TB15, the thread is vintage style, but the coumpound is modern. These were the competition hot ticket back then, and most competing Daytona do use these tires. They are just as expensive as the TRX...

Sorry, not the TB15 but Michelin XWX 215/70 VR15. Maybe you could try the XWX 225/70 VR 15 ? I do not know what are the oversize tolerances on your country but the diameter is not so much bigger (2076mm versus 2140mm).

Yes you would think a 225 would fit on the 7.5inch wide wheel nicely and still look period correct and standard

Recently tried some vredestein on a 365 and to be honest old dried XWX felt better : the radial structure of the Michelin offers a better lateral feeling. This being said these tires are really thin considering the weight and power of the car, I would really consider driving these with maximum recommended pressure (3kg).

Nope this specific tyre is specifically a Ferrari tyre. It fits

    https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/400-i-gt.html 400 GTi

    Some https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/512bb.html#page=1 512 BB

    & some https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/412-gt.html 412

Jag did fit TRX technology on some of the XJ40 models, but it was not developed for Jaguar. some times tyre technology develops to compliment the new developments in car design. And some times with tyres like the TRX that develops advantages that car manufactures develop the cars geometry to take advantage in the step forward in tyre design.

In period TRX technologies were used in F1 with Prost & Renault in in the World Rally series with Audi Quattro, 205 Turbo and Renault 5 Turbo.

the current range covers Alpine A310, Alsf Sud, R5 Turbo, Citroen CX GTi Turbo, Ford Granada Ghia, Merc 220, 240 & 300 Peugeot 504 Coupe, Renault 30 TX, BMW 5, 6 & 7 series and pretty much all the Ferrari of the period. with all the other car manufactures it really is only the top models that fitted TRX because it was such a top end piece of kit, and also as an aftermarket upgrade they were the business
