215/70ZR15 Pirelli P4000 Super Touring

beautiful tire...i wish they were 225's though...just gives the car a slightly 'beefier' stance...but you won't be disappointed with the ride, that's for sure.

Just noticed an older post on Tom Yang's Website's message board "Vintage Ferraris" titled "Pirelli P4000 ST" from November 12th, 2010 which states:

"These tires have been on back order for 8 months, the last from Pirelli is that they are making one more run, after that it will be discontinued, they did not say if there's going to be a replacement and the tire will be here in Jan. 2011. Tire Rack is taking orders."

(Tried to post a link directly to this post, but since his site is split into multiple windows, couldn't figure out how to do that. This message board post seems to tie in with the earlier post on FerrariChat which stated that tires were on order for a long time and should be in Jan 4th.

Does anyone reliably know if this message board post on Tom Yang's site is correct, that in fact Pirelli is discontinuing these tires?? If so, I would very much like to know.
