I could use some help. I've been selling seat belt bracket covers for awhile now. See post #128 in this thread:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9490

I keep getting asked 'which style is correct for my 19xx 308'. Unfortunately, I've never been able to establish exactly which models have which style cover.

There are 3 cover styles that I know of. I call the ones at the bottom of the first picture style A, and the ones at the top of the picture style B. The 2nd picture has a top & bottom view of style C.

Style A - Came from my '82 GTS QV.
    Style B - Came from a '77 Carb'd car
Style C - Came from an '81 GTSi

Style A is almost identical to style C, it's very hard to tell them apart when they're installed. The differences are: Style A has a narrow (about 2mm wide) ridge around the back and mounts by snapping onto the mounting bolt bracket. Style C mounts by snapping around the washer under the thru-bolt. Also the underside of the front lip is reinforced differently.

My belief is that style A & C are from the same mfg, & A superceded C, the cut-in was sometime between '81 & '82. I don't know if the cut-in was between the QV & injected 2Vs, or if the mfg just started shipping with style A.

I have no data as to when style B was superceded by style C.

I could use help narrowing the cut-in dates down.

The price is $45 each. To order send eMAIL:
    TO: [email protected]
SUBJ: Qty: 1(or 2 or ...) Seat Belt Cover Style A (or B)

S&I within US & to APOs is $9.75.

I haven't had a chance to make a mold for style C, but I do have good ones for mold patterns & plan to make a mold by the end of the year.

any plans for a 328 version of these? Or, are they still available? Or, same as 308 ????

If you decide to make up a 328 version and want a master to work with, send me a PM(I don't check every day, so could take a few days), and I'll loan you the one I have. I could use one, as somehow I managed to lose one along the way...

NAW, they're not missing, I've got them safely stowed away... Will get them back to you as soon as I make a mold from them.

OK, you've got a PM. I believe the 328 used style A. If not then I'll have to borrow yours.

If you'd like to order a style A, click on my name by this PM & send me eMAIL.

If I could, I'd just like to take a moment and express my appreciation for Verell's integrity and exemplary customer service.

I ordered a new bracket cover from Verell last week and quickly installed (popped in place that evening) the cover. It fit well and went into place without much effort. Prior to ordering, I sent a photo of the OEM cover and the one he sent was identical.

He asked if I would send him some pictures of it installed. When I went to take the photo, I noticed the cover had cracked along the axis of the pivot oval. My assumption, was I had done something wrong in my installation (which I still believe). Regardless, I sent a picture of the bracket and a description of what I did to Verell, as he'd asked for a picture of the part in place.

Without any request from my part, Verell offered and sent out a new part free of charge with the following installation suggestion....

Apparently your bracket is just enough larger to crack the part. I'll make & send you another one. Please carve out the bracket holes so it's a slip fit on the bracket. Also open the gap where it snaps over the bracket so it won't get stressed going on. Use your original bracket as a guide.

BTW, This plastic takes a lot of heat to soften, a hot day won't do it. To soften it you have to put it in boiling water, or heat some oil up to about 240F. On the plus side, it won't warp on a hot day.

I just wanted to pass along to y'all my experience and express my appreciation for Verell's offer and to say he's got a customer for life. I know it's a small part/price for f-car parts...but he went out of his way for me.

    With much appreciation....

    Tyler

I just completed the mold for the seat belt cover used on Dinos, & I believe similar vintage cars. The cover is retained by a cylindrical raised ridge that presses onto the bolt head.

For pricing & ordering info, see post #1.

Thanks to Mark Lambert for loaning me his precious OEM cover to use as a mold pattern!!!

Hello All, Just wanted to pass on my thanks to Verell, I ordered a pair of seat belt bracket covers for my '81 308GTSi.

They arrived in Australia about 7 days after they were posted and I cant express how impressed I was with the quality and finish of the covers. They are among the last few items I will need to provide the finishing touches to my car when it returns from being resprayed.

These aren't the first 'impossible to find" bits I've ordered from Verell and wont be the last, Many thanks from "down under"
