Well, we finished on the podium, not bad all things considered. We also had 4th place but that car ran out of fuel without taking the checker and there is not counted. But, in my opinion, the 488 GTE cars were the best looking cars in the entire field. Especially the car in the NART livery. Next week is the 24 hours of the Nurburgring. Maybe we'll have better luck there.
Aston takes double class wins, hopefully “win on Sunday sell on Monday” is true...they need it bummer for the 51.
Coverage on the Motor Trend channel was acceptable. No idea who the commentators were, they'd lag behind at times and the girl who was constantly interrupting became annoying. So, turned over to Radio Le Mans where it seemed they couldn't be bothered to be talking about the race, blathering on and on about something (still not quite sure what the issue was) so went back to Motor Trend for the balance. Fun when things got interesting at the 12 hour mark when the lead Toyota #7 went into the garage for turbo and header replacement. Whomever the guy was they had stationed in the pits did a very good job explaining what was happening. Good marks to him. The race itself was mostly uneventful. But, it's Le Mans which I can pretty much watch with my hair on fire and still be into it. BHW
