I have about 10,000 give or take. Mostly Corvettes, but lots of Porsches and Ferraris. My wife took this photo of me working at Sebring at the exit of turn 1. Image Unavailable, Please Login
On qualifying days I wear the two-way radio monitoring the team and race control Image Unavailable, Please Login
In the hot pit, if you're going "over the wall" into the pit box you need to wear the same fire protection as the pit crew and the drivers, (sans helmet). This is me at Laguna Seca in the Corvette Racing hot pit. Image Unavailable, Please Login
more pictures please... The Corvette 'team' is amazing. As one of the guys said > "I would go off to war with these guys!"
Or at least hope not to encounter/meet as a driver during the race ? Even though I don’t follow any racing (or other sports, for that matter) I think acknowledging the “behind-the-scenes“ volunteers(?) etc is great, since they are as important as all the “stars” of any such event.
That's me holding the pit board while Gary Pratt, of Pratt & Miller, adjusts his eye protection at Laguna Seca. Everyone is waiting for the #4 car to enter the pit box. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Late pit stop for #4 car with a failed half shaft. They decided to fix it in the pit box rather than take the car back to the garage, so only four guys could touch the car. Sebring 12 hours. Image Unavailable, Please Login
One of my favorite photos...the pit boss releases the Maserati MC-12 after routine stop...Sebring 12 hour Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thank you for documenting and sharing all of this. One of my biggest regrets is not having raced at Le Mans. Back in the early 2000's, I was offered a seat in a Saleen S7. The price was $180K. I'm sure there would have been some good stories, but that just seemed too much. Had I to do it all over... CW
Here is the car you would have driven. The S7 entering the Porsche Curve in the rain... Image Unavailable, Please Login
