I was there for the centennial, albeit with another brand. But I'd love to do it again with Ferrari hospitality.

If I read that correctly, under the WEC rules, no more than 2 cars LMH cars must be entered by factory teams.
In 2024, a third Ferrari was entered, allegedly privately, by AF Corse, which incidentaly was the (surprise, surprise) factory team.
It was a contencious way to circumvent the rules, and one wonders how the ACO managed to close their eyes and accept it.
The Porsche are LMDh cars sold to private teams, which are no subject to the same number limitation, according to the rules.

It's just accounting at that point. AF paying for their one, and the factory paying for the other two.... so what if it's all the same org.

I don't think that is in the spirit of the rules as they were intended.
It's a clear example showing how the regulations can be manipulated.
The ACO has a long history of interpreting rules when it suits them.

correct IMHO the ACO is corrupt but the show must go on; money machine!
Everyone knows what they did when Lammers was quicker with his Dome than ACO sponsor Audi/VW during the early 2000s.....
And when the Fords came what they did with Team JMW Motorsport

I know it’s early but will Le Mans tv coverage here in the states be restricted to MAX like the rest of the WEC schedule?

I don't follow WEC much, but what a waste for Lambo to make that program and cut their SC63 after the first season. At least IMSA still has it but wow. I never thought I'd see n/a V12 compete at LeMans again...wish I could attend this year but that Valkyrie is going to sound incredible.

I think atmo V12s are at a disadvantage in endurance.

NA V8 can still do that job but V12 is too much fuel consuming yes.

    but a 499P with a 4.0 V12…….sound would be amazing

The Cadillacs did very well in the Prologue sessions with a N/A V8 + hybrid.

I really hope Ferrari drops the turbos in the future.

Well, in the end this is a BOPed championship. If ACO is willing to help, you could win with anything.

Is that the reason for the last 2 Ferrari Le Mans wins ? ;)

I think they got the BoP about right, making the cars very close in performance.

Well, in the first one it definitely helped, Toyota got pissed. Although even without BOP, they hadn't much luck either.

Beyond the BoP, there are several factors that affect the result, such as racing incidents, pit strategy, extra stops, etc ...
Some teams match their potential, and some falter.
