I've done a search through the previous posts on this subject and had a paint swatch made up of the only paint codes I could see which mentioned Grigio Ghisa. The spray out of this colour/code gives a very dark grey that is almost the same as the current Grigio Silverstone. Looking at old photo's of 246's from the 70's the wheel colour looks to be darker than the normal generic silver but nowhere near as dark as the Grigio Ghisa.

Does anyone have a paint code for the Cromodoras?

I don't have the paint code in question, but would note that the original Cromodora silver paint has a bluish cast to it. I don't know of another factory wheel on any car that has a similar tint to it. Fred

Hello Iain. The Grigio Ghisa code is 2427078. Y was told the Glasurit 9909 Silver Grey it's the same colour, but you must check this. In the Technical Information No. 182 from Ferrari is the way to paint the Cromodoras : The paint should be applied with viscosity 37" (Ford type viscosity meter - orifice 3), and baked at 212°F (100°C) for 40 min. in the over
    or under stoving lamps.
Please update the information you get because I will need to paint my wheels in the near future. Good luck. Regards.
    Alvaro

    Alvaro,

That's the code I've had mixed and put on a spray test card and it appears to be far too dark.

It's the information I have, but I didn't paint the wheels yet. Maybe baked the paint for 40 min. at 100 degree can change the colour. Or maybe look at the Glasurit 9909 silver grey.
Many years ago the paint was available from ITALVAR, Milano, Italy, but I don't know today.
    Regards
    Alvaro

    Just send them here:

They know. And do a lovely job.

The silver on the wheels gets darker and more yellow over time apparently. Something to do with the magnesium.
