I just finished an engine rebuild on my 246GTS and reinstalled the engine with new motor mounts and have now encountered airbox/carb cover clearance problems. After reinstalling my engine and discovering the clearance issues, I found an older thread about 246 engine rebuilds (on Dinos where the engines had NEVER been removed before) that mentioned that several owners found the front motor mounts had been installed upside down at the factory, contrary to what is shown in some of the manuals. It seems that it should be a relatively easy fix to jack up the engine/transaxle from below and flip the front mounts, but I think that I will have to shim them a little to keep the shift linkage properly aligned.

I would appreciate any comments/photos/suggestions, etc.

    Thank you -
