I'm removing the instrument cluster/panel in my Dino. However, the speedo cable is very tight where it passes through the bulkhead and doesn't allow enough slack for the cluster to clear far enough to disconnect the wire connectors. I'm afraid to pull on it too much because the panel bends so easily. Looks like I'm going to have to push the cable through from the opposite side of the bulkhead to get more slack. Does the cable penetrate the bulkhead from the front boot or the wheel well? It's hard to see if it's in the boot because of all the other stuff in the way!

On the right hand drive model the speedo cable comes in from behind the removable wheel arch panel. I wiould suppose the lhd version is similar

    Dave!
That is indeed the case! Eventhough the cable runs through wheel well, there still isn't enough slack to work with unless one disconnects at the engine. I assume that's where it originates - didn't bother to look! Seems that every "simple" job turns out to be more complicated than anticipated. Guess I'll save this for a winter project! Besides, today was a perfect day for a drive - what fun!!

When I removed instrument panel, I lay down on the floor looking up and just reached speedo cable and disconnected. Once it's done, you can pull instrument panel out far enough to disconnect rest of gauges.
If you want to remove whole dash, remove radio and that will give you access to remove bolts to hold vent/temp control switches. These are hardest part of removing dash.

I'll try your approach next time! I knew there had to be a simpler way!
