    1. What is the correct configuration for the edges of the front compartment batchboard? Does it overlap the rubber edging of the compartment, is it screwed in or just lies in place?

    2. What is the correct location of the "stickers" in the engine compartment for a 1974 Euro version Dino? I have the decals from Kilimanjaro, but want to be sure I place them correctly.

    3. What is the correct black finish on the air box and on the expansion tank? Gloss, semi-gloss?

    4. What is the correct finish on the camshaft covers?

    5. Where can I get the correct grommets that insert into the header rail for the GTS top?

    6. What is the correct finish on the gas cap? Is there a decal that goes on the cap for the Euro version?

    7. What is a good source for the correct windshield washer bag?

    8. I have been told my car was originally sold in Italy. Does anyone have information that confirms that?

    9. All of these questions pertain to #7580, a Euro version 1974 GTS.

Thanks very much in advance for any help with these details.

    Jim

original it was screwed in, but fitting can be a problem...

your GTS is production Dec. 1973 (not 1974) and you just need the a "Attenzione Alta - Tensione" sticker on the edge of air collecting box and a "Ferrari Shell Super Motor Oil" plate riveted in the right back corner of the engine compartment

    3. What is the correct black finish on the air box and on the expansion tank? Gloss, semi-gloss?

    semi-gloss

    4. What is the correct finish on the camshaft covers?

    just the pollished aluminium

    6. What is the correct finish on the gas cap? Is there a decal that goes on the cap for the Euro version?

the normal M- and E-serie gas cap, no decal

    7. What is a good source for the correct windshield washer bag?

you need for your Dino the 2 liter version

    8. I have been told my car was originally sold in Italy. Does anyone have information that confirms that?

Ferrari Classiche is able to confirm that, speak to your local Ferrari dealer

They never were polished. I was told if I wished to concours my Dino I would have to blast my polished cam covers with walnut shells to give them the correct, "cheap" original factory look.

Interesting, so new cam covers had no treadment at all when they came from the foundry?!
Or just slight treatment? I think they don`t look cheap if they are clean.
I blasted one of my sets and they look very bright.
But I think you might be right, polished seems to be the wrong discreption. They never original have been shiny like chrom for example.
    :)
