    Hello All,

In my quest to restore my car, my heads may not be useable.

Anyone have a pair of heads or a head they would like to sell (bare or complete)?

PM or e-mail me if you do.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Try Superformance in the Uk. they are honest, reliable & very responsive. They can be reached at 011 44 20 8500 7127. Ron , Colin or Steve can help you. Best of all ...if you are on the east coast of the US you can get items within a week and certainly no longer than a full week in other areas. They are pros...good luck!

With shop technology these days it takes a lot of damage to end something as expensive as a heads utility, are you sure they are not salvageable?

One possibly both are warped. The right head (4,5,6) for sure about .010 (measuring the cam bearing surfaces).
Electrolysis has damaged several of the water/oil ports (which is repairable by weld).

There is significant pitting in some of the combustion domes as well as the sealing edge where the head gasket seals. I dont know if the heads have been previously shaved, and dont know where to measure.

I'm open to sugestions or recomendations.

    Thanks

    Steve

Stever, they're out there. I think Dennis McCann has some. Shaughnessy probably does too. Price $2300+ PER SIDE. Then you do guides, valves, etc, probably a $10K repair by the time you're done. And you still have 35 yr old stuff when finished.

Oh boy, was I wrong on price. Left cylinder head complete, $8000+, right cylinder head, to be rebuilt $2000+. USED.

.010 is a lot to mill off, right? I am not a pro on this, but that sure seems like a lot to take off and still have clearance under the head.

Just to make you sick, I let a nice one go last year to an fchatter for about $700. that's what it cost me, that's what I charged.

Eurospares shows one for 750 pounds. A new old stock head went by on Ebay UK for $1800. T-Rutland may have one or a pair. Thought I saw one over there a while back.
