    I am looking at the car attached (full pictures at the Coys link below) and at last prices seem to have stopped running away from me and in fact seem to be coming back towards me. It's an unusual colour combination and since it has been restored I assume is not an original one. However, I am not convinced that Rosso/Yellow are the only colours for Dinos so I quite like the difference. Other than the wheels and wing mirror, is there anything else the leaps off the page as not being correct?

    Looks lovely!

    How is the mechanical condition and has it been driven much?
    Despite the standard desire for low mileage cars, I think these cars fair better when they are driven regularly.
    From recent events, I'd also check the action of the clutch and accelerator cables for smooth and clean movement.

    What's wrong with the wheels? They appear to be the correct Campagnolos for a C&F car. (Whether this is an original C&F or a conversion is another question, since it appears to have undergone restoration.) Regarding the wing mirror, many (most, all?) Dinos came from the factory without mirrors, so any period-correct mirror should be technically okay. The mirror on this car is difficult to make out in the photos, but it looks okay to me. The headlight fairings appear to be the "straight-line" design, which is not period-correct.

    It's from a "collection" but a serious known collector, not some nebulous HNWI nobody can identify - the full body of the collection is on the Coys site - and hasn't been driven as much as one would like.

    By that do you mean the center caps, These should have "Campagnolo" on them and the actual wheels if original will be rough cast magnesium with "Campagnolo" in the casting on the outer rim whereas the modern replicas sold by the likes of Superformance are a smooth cast aluminium but because of copyright reasons do not have "Campagnolo" on the rim but they will sell you a sticker for you to apply that does!
    Any how the car looks lovely, How much are they asking as a matter of interest?

    I think the car looks fab - Dinos do get abit boring in red (mines red!). Check on engine / gearbox work as you could spend £20k sorting these. Presume it doesn't have much history if its been in a collection. Whats the price?

    I entirely agree that cars are to be driven not looked at, but I am the putative buyer looking to negotiate a good deal and every little information advantage helps and there are lots of nuggets of information available here!

    serial # is 04024, they list as a '74, but that has to be a '72. Ahh... body of the copy lists as a '72, ok.

    Not an original flairs car, shipped from the factory (according to the Dino register) with Cromo wheels) too early for Daytona interior perhaps too?

    Assuming that it doesn't have an astronomical price, and that the mechanicals, interior, and paint are as good as they appear, I don't see how you could go wrong on it. I say GO FOR IT. (If it was LHD rather than RHD, I would buy it and sell my GTS).
