The Dino keeps popping fuses. Only the 25 amp ones on the radiator fan circuit.

I'm gonna clean all the contacts this weekend, and take a look at what else could be the cause, but, the old style 25 amp fuse on one of the other circuits seems to be made of lead or tin, and the new fuse seems to be made of copper.

Are they different beyond that? Do the lead ones blow slower, like the slow blow fuses we use on electric motors at work?

Or, am I just kidding myself?

Also, what's the probable cause of thse motors blowing the fuses? They don't seem to be real hot. I'm going to put an amp gauge on them later tonight, and see what is what.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    NEVER MIND.

    I'M AN IDIOT.

I HAD A PLASTIC BAG WRAPPED AROUND ONE OF THE FANS, COULDN'T SPIN, BURNED THE FUSE OUT, TWICE.

    MAKES SENSE.

    ALL IS WELL.

I was gonna say that as the fans age their resistance buildas up and we all remember that+ resistance equals +heat, right?however +resistance caused by plastic bag interference will do it too!

Glad you didn't burn the fan motors out - can be expensive and cause real heat problems for the engine.

Dinos have been known to hit their chin on poor road rises/potholes and having the fan blade halted by the deformed underbodywork.
    Be careful
