Leonardo Fioravanti has just confirmed that he will be present at the 25th anniversary of 288GTO in Barcelona.
Leonardo Fioravanti is the "father" of GTO. He was in charge of the Style and Design of the GTO.
He will be bringing original documents and photos and will tell us anecdotes and "secrets" about the development of the record and his relationship with ENZO FERRARI.

Come on Joe! Surely you can get your car over there. After all, you said yourself that the reunion you're involved with in CA in April is open only to owners that bring their cars...

 

We will have to ask him why 288 GTO's never overheat!

BTW - this is somewhat of a local car to you so perhaps it will be there...

Very cool! I'm a big fan of Fioravanti. Too bad I already have other plans (also Ferrari related). Must be an amazing sight to have many GTOs together. I wish you luck and fun with the event!

Prancing 12: I think you're forgetting the part of my post that you quoted where I stated: "The GTO Reunion will be open to the public" ... but then continued in obvious jest "but you have to bring a 288 GTO to attend!".

My apologies. I interpreted what you said to mean that "any member of the public is welcome, as long as the bring/own a GTO; members of the public without a GTO need not apply".

I guess I wasn't sure of your "jest". This internetz makes it hard 2 get jokes sumtimes

the last friday night, I was talking with the owner of these car, and he wasn´t looks very interesting in the event. I understand him, because is very difficult to take a car from Canary Island to Spain...

 

Could someone please PM me all the details for the Barcelona event - I may try to bring along some UK owners!
