2241 GT was originally painted Bianco (white) with red leather, completed 20 January 1961, and delivered new to Chinetti Motors.
LKO Aran A. Guy in Walnut Creek, CA (1996).

Does it still have the original engine? Photo showing engine and internal engine block number?

Welcome CRDILL - I run the GTE Register and we have been tracking GTEs since the early 1980s. I have a little information on this cars history and may be able to help you plan a restoration. We also have a quarterly newsletter on GTEs that I highly recommend you check out. You, your family member or anyone else contact me at Tom@250GTE.com. I look forward to talking to you guys!

As long as we are updating this thread, I now estimate that there are 411 complete GTEs remaining and 24 with a non-original Ferrari engine. I know of 182 that have been converted to replica GTOs, Cal Spyders, SWBs and the like. Keep letting me know of GTEs that you spot so we can continue to expand the GTE community.

That number is incredible. I thought it was around 150, but still. Utterly bonkers. Original-bodied 250 GTE now rarer than a 275 GTB variant.
