Is there a 250 GTO or replica in Honolulu? I saw a car which at the very least resembled one out in the rain today in Honolulu.

It is probably a replica you saw as there is one here based on a 240/260/280Z.

I saw this car today in Kailua. It had 308 tail lights and a Kamm style rear end. I think it is based on a Miata or Austin Healy.

From the front end it does give one pause though I could see through the bodywork to empty spaces where presumably fog lights reside in the $30M versions. :). The side profile, 308 rear end and integrated bumpers are a dead give away though.

Yup, that's it. The front end definitely rose my curiosity, but it's nice to confirm that someone else has seen the car.

I have yet to lay my eyes on a real Ferrari on Oahu, except for potentially something under a car cover in a garage that looked Testarossa shaped.

What did a 250 GTO go for in 1974? The ad says the car was built in 1974 and from searching it looks like a Datsun cost about $3500, weren't GTOs going for about $6k in the late '60s?

Lol, no when I was there it was mostly Japanese tourist on their way to Ala Moana I presume. Had dinner with the Pres at Buzz's on Saturday. Picked up a Marine's tab there the next day and spent a couple hours talking to a retired one at his home. :)

I think that one is a Datsun Z based kit car. There was a Daytona that I thought was fake about 10 years ago. Later on, I found out it was a real one. lol

Without a doubt a very bad fake. Can't why you would make something that bad on a 250 basis, and the wheel base seems too short for a Ferrari, and why would you put the filler cap there? From the photo it seems plastic to me as well.
