Great artworks my friend. Some like #3869GT were raced in some minor British (#3705GT in Italian and so on) club events for which race programs, pictures of competing cars and entry numbers may be impossible to source. So best of luck. I would imagine these would look stunning framed and hung on a decent sized wall. Something to consider Cheers Timothy
Nice work! The side views hide most of the liveries though (stripes). Maybe you could add a front (and rear) view? Or a top view?
Possibly make a large poster of all? I, for one, would be a buyer. Beautiful renditions! Regards, Alberto
Yes, I plan to create a series of posters. My portfolio is still under development, so I can compile content for your request. Regards, Anton
I agree, it would be clearer, I think about it. But this is a colossal work if I set out to draw all the models and at least the iconic serial numbers. Perhaps in the future I will come to this. Regards, Anton
Best wishes Anton. Beautiful work! You have a jewel in the rough. Please keep us updated, and certainly most will chime in. Regards, Alberto
Love this thread, great work Anton. Minor correction on 3387, 1963 USRRC @ Mid Ohio was the 22nd September. Can't wait to see the next ones ...
Livery collection for 250 GTO 4757GT chassis. I will be glad for your help! Please let me know if you find any errors in my research. I'm interested in: 1. If you find missed events 2. Inaccuracies in my livery images 3. Photos of events that I don't have 4. Any other errors or additions Despite the fact that not many liveries were created, this car took more time than others. There are a lot of events since 1988, but the photographic material is extremely scarce. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
good work you missed the period where for me she was the most beautiful (only my opinion maybe ) when she was yellow there was some confusion with 4153GT ,4757GT was repainted during the winter of 1964/65 in yellow it was the car that was used at the Marathon de la Route 1965 and also raced during the Mont Ventoux Hillclimb 1965 with 4153GT also being there (see the Maurice Louche collection )and at least one other race that is supposed to be 4153GT but I'm almost positive it's not but need to find a good photo of it what I didn't find until now . See also the photo posted by Ed Niles how she was in 1965/66 Sal DiNatale | FerrariChat
I haven't looked at the other ones but re 3387 GT at the March 1962 Monza Tests the fuel filler was actually inside the boot/trunk. It had been on the right rear wing and then on the left rear wing in the same position as 3223 GT had it at the Press Day Release but that was patched up at the Monza Tests and was later moved above the boot. The fuel filler moved by NART exiting the rear window, for and after Le Mans 1962 stood more proud of the window than in the pics. At Daytona in February 1964 3387 GT was crashed by Mike Gammino, after which it was rebodied by Scaglietti with a new body with the features of the later 250 GTOs which is when it got the integrated rear spoiler, different nose treatment and the fuel filler moved back to the normal position. With the new body the sail panel cabin vents were removed after Daytona in February 1964 and the seam between the roof and sail panel was then added. Obviously it did not have the cabin air vents, but did have the sail panel/roof seam before it was restored by Stephen Griswold.
If you want to add the 2012 Louis Vuitton Serenissima Run (an appropriate name for 4757GT ) , here it is ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I already did yellow 4757GT, but wasn't sure about the information. It is also not clear in what year it became yellow and what events. Regards, Anton. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you so much for such detailed corrections. According to the changes in the body of February 64 - I understood everything. Still missing a lot of photos... As for the Monza tests, it will be enough for me to remove the filler neck completely, did I understand correctly? Regards, Anton. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Do you have the 250 GTO books by Pourret/Bluemel (page 29) or Anthony Pritchard (page 70)? You can see in a picture in these 2 books where the left rear wing had been patched prior to the Monza Test. You can see it blurred in your first pic above.
