Out of the 35 250 GTO's that were produced during its production run how many are still in existence?

Has anybody tracked them over the years? One GTO that seems to get covered by automotive journalist on a regular basis is owned by Nick Mason of Pink Floyd fame.

They all still exsist and are all well documented.
A lot of Nick Mason's cars are used in magazines and for TV purposes through his Ten Tenths company.

His GTO that wears the appropriate 250 GTO license plate is chassis number 3757.

There are 36 3 litre GTOs including 4713 (with LMB bodywork).
There are 3 4 litre GTOs (occasionally called 330 GTOs)

Of the original 36 250 series that left the factory 3 were produced in what is known as 64 style boywork (similar to the 250 LM) these being 5571, 5573, 5575.

3413, 4091, 4399, and 4675 all left the factory with the standard 250 GTO bodywork but were later converted to the '64 style.

Indeed. Strictly speaking this section is for the other GTO and its descendents, but I'm happy to hear about 250 GTOs anywhere!
