At this moment I know of at least seven (7) 250 LM REPLICAS produced.
Three using the same serial number (1 original and 2 replicas), two using the same serial number (1 original and 1 replica), two using the same serial number (1 original and 1 replica), two replicas using the same serial number and 1 total replica using a non-250 LM serial number. Surely there are more! I hope that we don't have to move this discussion into the REPLICA thread......

    Ditto.

This info already posted needs to remain in this thread, further discussion of this particular car maybe in the replica thread with a link to the first post there from here?

Photo posted by Bertocchi somewhere in the "More old photos" thread. Could you identify this one Marcel? The car was yellow with black stripes. Canam 1966.

It pays to watch clearance sales at Classic Motorbooks (now called MBI); I got my copy some two (2) decades ago at probably 60% to 70% OFF list price.

Great book Marcel, I'd like to get it autographed by you some day...

Hi CWI. Welcome to fchat! :)

Are you sure that is Mosport? I'd hate to question anyone but I don't think it is. The small mountains (hills) in the back arent that big from what I remember. Also the pits/paddock are very different. I do realize that it's an old pic. But looks very different. Does in fact look more like MT.

I've never been to Mosport nor to St. Jovite, I only check if the cars and car numbers do match with the races... but if you recognize Mount Tremblant it would be the Pepsi-Cola Trophy 10.07.1966, I only have facts and figures:

    Mosport:
    #6 - Lola T70 - Mark Donohue
    #4 - McLaren - Bruce McLaren
    #96 - McLaren - Mike Goth
    #411 - 250LM - David Greenblatt
The Porsche 906 #7 could be Joe Buzzetta
A Shelby Cobra Ford (in the back) was driven by Tom Payne
But no sign of the #42 Lotus Elan in the results...

    Mont Tremblant:
    #6 - McLaren - Bud Morley (!)
    #4 - McLaren - Bruce McLaren
    #411 - Elva Mk6 - Phil Seitz
    #41 - 250LM - David Greenblatt (!)
    #42 - Lotus Elan - Max Nerriere
    #96 - ?
No sign of a Shelby Cobra Ford in the results...

    That's all I have, sorry.

The photo in Post #280 is definitely Mt Tremblant. The paddock rises behind the pits, and the cafeteria building was still there in the late '90s. Great photo!

I was also going to mention that. "Cafetaria" is not a work that would be used in Bellville Ontario :D

More like Snack Bar or something to hat effect ;)

Nope SL 71-21 was a 427 and was destroyed before Mt Tremblant at Watkins Glen on 6/26/66. You can tell from the photo that that's not 427 powered as rear deck was different on 427 powered car. My car was Donohue/Pensky's second T 70 and is the car in that photo. It DNF'd that race but went on to win Mosport on 9/24/66. It also won Kent USRRC on 7/30/66 and Nassau Speed Week in December 66. Mine had a small block Traco 366CI engine.

Later it set the Mt.Equinox all time record. I couped it in 1972.
