Art, This is a picture of 2017GT, taken in Monterey in 2004. It lives in Oregon. It has gone through a pretty high quality restoration. john PS. Thanks for the compliment.
Thanks Tom. Fantasy Junction presented the car back in 2002. I think the price was about $50k at the time. Incidentally, right about this time Symbolic had a medium mettalic blue Series II car with black interior. Would you know the S/N of that car and its whereabouts? john
Art, 1479GT is Roger Wills' car. This is my favorite color combination on a PF coupe. This car is especially neat in that it came with a hood scoop. john Image Unavailable, Please Login
Let's see some period photos: this is Swedish Ferrari importer Tore Bjurström with his 1469GT in front of Hotel Palace in Helsinki. Photo taken during Helsinki GP in May 1960. Best wishes, Kare Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry, I don't really know. Must be very few. I knew about 1417 GT (red) of Rudolf Toronyi and 1677 GT (silver) of Dr. George Luk. Marcel Massini
Re photo in post #210: No, this is actually 0725 GT, the ex-Prince Bernhard of Holland Speciale. See also "Cavallino" magazine, issue #133 of February/March 2003. Marcel Massini
Marcel and Andrew: Thanks for the info. I saw a silver PF at the last FCA Concour in Melbourne. Here is a pic of it at the 2004 Concour. Wonder if it's s/n 1677GT? From memory, it even has the original dealership sticker from the very old Melbourne Ferrari dealer that used to be in Balwyn! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, and the almost identical car with mild kick-up rear fenders is 0751GT. 1187GT is a pretty standard Pinin Farina Coupé except for a special roof with rear quarter windows and a crease & Superamerica-style sidevents on sides.
Here are photos of 0977 GT. This 250 GT PF Coupé was rebodied by Carrozzeria Piero Drogo Sports Cars in Modena in the mid-1960s. The car is owned since 33 years by Hugh Ruthven in IL/USA. Pix were taken at Drogo's workshop. Photos by Botti & Pincelli of Modena, Collection Marcel Massini. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This photo shows the rebodied 1717 GT, also done by Piero Drogo's Sports Cars in Modena 1967. Originally a standard 250 GT PF Coupé. This car was last owned by Rodolfo Junco in Mexico. Photo by Botti & Pincelli, Modena. Collection Marcel Massini. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Solve the mistery... Can anyone confirm facts about this car? From the evidence of the BP label, it must be Europe. There is too much snow to be England. The car looks brand new in a shipping dock or something. It is a Series I car so it must be circa 1958-59. There is a sign in the background which is hard to read and there are a couple of flags overhead. Oh, and looks like there is a two-color PF coupe immediately next to it. Thanks. john Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man in the centre looks like Tore Bjurström, the then importer in Scandinavia. Snow matches also. Kare will now for sure. Could be 1471 GT and 1469 GT (on the right side). Marcel Massini
Again something vaguely related to this thread... This is Tore Bjurström's business card from the late 1950's. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Marcel, You sound convincing. Do you know if the adjacent car is in fact two-color or is it the photo? Thanks. john
The small sign on the left looks to say "stoppa motoren" on the 3rd row. First & second row + third & forth row look to be copies of eachother in a different laguange (too small to make out what it says). Applying some logic to it... the "stoppa motoren" looks to be Swedish. There is only 1 country in Scandinavia which is bi-ligual which is Finland (hence the top two rows would be Finish). Hence... Kare will know... ;-)
Just browsed a bit and 1469GT could be the car that Bjurström displayed at the 1960 Helsinki GP? The car has no front license plate which is mandatory in Europe so the photo was shot pre-registration... Apparently 1469GT wasn't registered until November 1960 (in Sweden). So, is it Bjurström on his way to or from the Helsinki GP in 1960 somewhere in Finland getting gas? Admitted, it's a lot of guess work but it would make sense.
I go to Sinngapore for 4 days, rock up at an Internet PC in Changi airport, browse my favourite thread on my favourite web site and oh my god look what happened.
