WHERE did you take the pix?? Elkhart Lake?? Somewhere in Wisconsin?? If yes, it could well be Ed Weschler's car. Marcel Massini
White walls look really out of place on a Ferrari! The blackwall/wire combination looks the best. I once received a ride in a 250 PF, however, it had a Chevy engine, so I guess it really doesn't qualify as a Ferrari. I don't remember why the engine swap took place, possibly racing.
Carrozzeria Mario Allegretti in Modena did a large number of replicas, mostly based on 250 GT PF Coupés, 250 GTEs and 330 GT 2+2s. The removed bodies were stored outside their facility, and later scrapped. I took this photo, showing also a strange and customised tail of a 250 GT Coupé, in Modena 1986. Marcel, this is 1635. I am told the whitewalls were original. I owned the car from 1985 to 1989 and then it went to Ed. The early pictures were taken in Elkhart Lake before I owned the car. The other picture was taken at Joe Marchetti's place during my ownership.
Marcel, Could this be 1063GT? It had a similar (forward leaning) hood scoop and 410SA III side vents. The color matches the BW photo I have seen of 1063GT. john
