Marcel, Were the 'optional' scoops and vents marked on the build sheets or in some other way? Tom Yang posted an interesting YouTube video where fender vents had been deleted at some point during the history of a car he's working on (based on compelling evidence) . While I assume he contacted you privately, is there any general information on the subject you can share on the matter publicly? Regards, Art S.
Not a Coupe but seems the grills where added when new .some other ''belgian'' Ferrari also had side grills like 1891GT ,0341EU ,0661GT those last two at least not original . Factory build sheets do not mention specific body details. Build sheets show the mechanical details, not body information. These bodies were built by Pinin Farina in Torino, not in Maranello at Ferrari. In almost all cases the factory has no documentation for these things. Unless it is mentioned somewhere on a particular order sheet or correspondence or an extra option charge on a factory invoice. Decades ago 1557 GT had a front end collision at which time the left side vent was damaged which precipitaped the blanking off of the vents and the car was repainted red. Marcel Massini
The Zoute catalogue claims 2071GT is the car with 410 SA side vents pictured in the 1960 Ferrari Yearbook. Is it true ? Thanks.

Hello, Pics from the 0661GT, no side vents. Pics during Tour Auto in 2018. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
0661 GT was born without side vents and it also did not have an air intake in the centre of the hood originally. All these horrible modifications were added much later and fortunately eliminated during the last restoration. Marcel Massini
Color today is sort of gunmetal grey. 1621 GT was born Verde Primavera (Spring Green). Marcel Massini
Verde Primavera sounds like a nicer colour than this grey, do you have a picture of a Ferrari in this colour?
Thanks Marcel. I think it look great in the gray, whatever color it is. Would also like to see Verde Primavera. Thanks, Perry
Absolutely love the hood ! Would it be really that bad to add if done perfectly ? Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
If you mean the scoop and are seriously considering having one on your car, may I suggest looking into having an extra, entire new hood made with it and preserve the authenticity/originality of the hood the car was built with ? Just remove and put the original carefully into storage and thank me when you’re selling the car in the future, as cost-benefits will likely be equal or better than having one added to the original hood, especially if/when you or next owner wants to return back original configuration.
Smart ! And thank you ! I completely agree with originality, I have hunted for a hood vent car for years, and no luck . ( except for that unrestored cab. for sale ) Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
WANTED: Front Bumper to purchase or use as a pattern to fabricate a new part. We have nothing, it was not with the car.
Dave, if you were closer, I would remove mine and let you take patterns for the horizontal/vertical ribs to make up a wooden buck. Maybe you can find someone closer to you. Good luck. john
John, that is most generous offer. One of my long time contacts in Modena has asked for a quote from a Carrozzeria there to fabricate one. I’m bracing myself for the price. If anyone else needs one please raise your hand, might be able to get a small discount for two but it’s a time and material project.
