need help to identify a series 2 (14 Slots) tdf with the number plate OAH 290 - state or continent unknown.
believe its a european plate. i try to add a pic, but some times it did not work in the past.

anybody known the chassis-number ? maybe its a rebody from another 250, because i did not find the car in the TdF series 2 history.

    thanks

The s/n is 0827GT, and it's indeed a rebody. The plate is from Belgium.

I agree, the other plate you may have seen it on is CYJ 728, it is indeed Ellena based.

I believe 0827GT now belongs to Edmond Pery of Belgium.

thats right ! i think its remarkable, that many later Ellenas have been rebodied, as are 0825GT and 0831GT. it´s a pity, but two weeks ago i took lots of pics of a perfect example 0697GT located in austria for about 40 years. the car has a lower roof than other Ellenas. it was totally restored 2 years ago at sport auto modena and is mint condition now.

yes i know the owner. he owns the car for more than 40 years, as he told us, but i´d like to keep his identity anonymus.
one pic from the car and one from the interior is added.
there are too many pics to show them all.

All early Ellenas had low roof (identical to Boano). High roof seems to have been introduced from s/n 0739GT.

Very little is known about 0727GT; it may have been a "pre-production".

    Best wishes, Kare

0827 GT is owned by Mr Edmond Pery, Belgium and is a rebodied Ellena. Another rebodied 250 Boano can be seen at Spa from time to time. It's 0603 GT, rebodied as 250TR.

    From the 2009 Coys Auction:

"Over 30 years ago the owner commissioned a rebuild of the car to TDF specification. The chassis of the 250GT tipo 508C was in all respects identical to that of the Tour de France. The 128C engine was in reality a slightly de-tuned unit producing 240HP instead of the 280 HP available from the TDF spec engine. The work was put out to two of Modena‘s resident, world renown, Ferrari specialists. The new body was fabricated from original designs by Bachelli & Villa (Carrozzeria Autosport used by Ferrari today as their outsource for Ferrari Storica) and the mechanical rebuild was entrusted to Dienna e Silingardi (officially recognized by Ferrari)."

I have seen it, but Source: 250 GT Ellena s/n 0831GT say something different: "89 - rebodied as TdF with 14-louvre front and 1-louvre rear .. - engine s/n 1845GT fitted (original engine is with the car as spare) ". 89 would be today 25 years and yours today 35 years ago.

That source updated this sn last untill 2001. The auction house information is quite more recent and comes from the seller of the car at Padova 2009.
