The 250 GTE 2+2 is also a beautiful design and a great car to drive: modern, quick and comfortable. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The silver SWB is gorgeous, one of my favorites. I see that it is gridded next to one of the LeMans Sunbeam Tigers.
SWB California with covered headlights is number 1. Within the TdFs quite fond of the 1958 single louver, again with covered headlights. Some specialty Columbo 250s: 400 SA style, 250 LM Pininfarina show car, Nembo Spyder. Some will find me certifiably crazy but probably prefer the look of the Series II GTO. Jeff
According to Graham Gauld, Gary Laughlin bought one in '58 and sold it after two months "because every time I looked out of the window it looked more and more like a Ford Thunderbird" ! He went on to buy 250TR 0748 shortly afterwards....and then was involved with the Chevy Scaglietti project.
At the FCA National event in 2009 my dad and I could not stop staring at the Black GTE in the hotel parking lot. Gorgeous car! White ext./Red int. 250 TDF is my favorite of the series in terms of looks. Some of the Drogo bodied 250's are certainly interesting though.
Fixed that! Also, the Series I Cabriolet is, in my opinion, a better looking car than the California.
Maybe I'm crazy (clearly I am in the minority) but I was torn between the PF Cab SI and the TR. In the end I chose the TR for its racing heritage and raw brawn, but the PF Cab SI is a graceful and beatiful thing. Seems it didnt get many votes though. Thats fine, maybe if they fall into disfavor far enough I will be able to afford one someday...
My favourite 250 GT on the list changes by the day How come the awesome Lusso and is not on the list the Boana should be seperate to ? And I might choose the Boano which looks a little (2 inches perhaps) better than the Ellena IMHO Shock horror my all time favourite 250 is actually a one off b**stard and probably should not be counted as a Ferrari at all. It is indeed 1083 - as I've just seen that it's my car you like! The PF was never meant to be a flashy car - it was a very elegant, very understated, road car wrapped around a racing V-12. OK - I'm biased, but I do think it has aged very well and Pininfarina was obviously pleased with it when it was new. I have a copy of a photograph of his own car with the caption "Ecco la macchina che adoro" ( this is the car that I love). If you were to have a vote on 'the most elegant 250' the PF would be well up there!
While I admit to a personal intersts perspective-hat what this is asking, right? :->.... 250P cars...AS 250s..the noses were altered for 64 models with tipo 210 motors...now called : 275Ps.... 250s are a little "curvier" on the noses... 275s were plain faster-and more successful-versions/iteration of THE RACING car...
